For the pictured bear I used Red Heart Fiesta, Wheat, for main color and Redheart tan,for contrasting color of yarn and a size G hook

You may use whatever yarn or thread you choose, but you will have to

Change hook size to fit size of yarn.

Materials needed

3-4 oz of yarn or thread Main color

1 oz contrasting color

Crochet hook size G or appropriate size

Buttons for eyes

DMC thread for nose and details on feet and paws.

Head and Body

Rnd 1: (Starting at top of head) Ch 2. (6 sc) in second ch from hook. Do not join. Place stitch marker. 6 sc

Rnd 2: (2 sc) in each sc . 12 sc.

Rnd 3: * Sc in next sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Rep from * 5 times more. 18 sc.

Rnd 4: * Sc in each of next 2 sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Rep from * 5 times more. 24 sc.

Rnd 5: * Sc in each of next 3 sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Rep from * 5 times more. 30 sc.

Rnd 6: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 7: * Sc in each of next 4 sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Rep from * 5 times more. 36 sc.

Rnd 8: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 9: * Sc in each of next 5 sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Rep from * 5 times more. 42 sc.

Rnds 10-15: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 16: * Sc in each of next 5 sc. Decrease 1 sc in next 2 sc.. Rep from * 5 times more. 36 sc.

With yarn needle, weave yarn end through the top loops of sc on the final Rnd. Leg (Make 2)

Rnds 13 - 22: Sc in each sc around.

Rnd 23: * Sc in each of next 2 sc. Decrease 1 sc in next 2 sc. Rep from * 5 times more. Sl st in next sc. Fasten off leaving a long end for sewing. Stuff legs firmly and sew to body with yarn needle.

Arm (Make 2)

Rnd 1: Ch 5. (3 sc) in second ch from hook. Sc in two loops of each of next 2 ch. (3 sc) in last ch. Working in unworked lps of ch, sc across the opposite side of next 2 ch. Do not join. Place stitch marker. 10 sc.

Rnd 2: (2 sc) in first sc of previous round. Sc in next sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Sc in each of next 2 sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Sc in next sc. (2 sc) in next sc. Sc in each of next 2 sc. 14 sc.

Stuff arms and sew opening closed. sew arms to body.
Muzzel

With contrasting color yarnRepeat rounds 1-7 of head.On 8th round decrease 1 sc every 5 sc.

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing on.

Stuff and sew on head using photo as a guide.Make nose and mouth as pictured with DMC thread

Sew buttons on as in photo for eyes.Hat

With contrasting color yarn

Repeat rounds 1-9 of head pattern.

Rows 10-17: sc around slip st in 1st st of last rnd ch 3 turn.Row 18: * Skip first sc, dc in next sc, dc in skipped sc, repeat from * around. Sl st to beginning of round and fasten off. Weave in all ends.Ears

Chain 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1 turn.

2 sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in last sc.

Fasten off. Leave tail for sewing.

You have 2 options here. You can sew the ears to the head or sew them to the hat. I have done both and they both look cute.With DMC create paw lines
