Who are you guys?
We are nobody...quite literally. We are just a group of Harry Potter fans who somehow stumbled across
each other on the internet. The school was an idea of all of ours.
How many classes can I take?
You can take as many classes as you'd like! Or as few as you'd like, if that be the case!
How do I sign up for classes?
Before you can sign up for classes, you must first apply to the school itself. This will be used
to determine which House you will be in. If you are accepted, just go to the ONLINE CLASSES link located at the top of the
homepage. (This is also where the House placement quiz is.) The link to the forum is there.
Can I be a teacher?
Becoming a teacher is a bit harder than becoming a student. But yes, you may apply as a teacher.
Just email the headmistress at penny_mccartney1@hotmail.com with a sample lesson, and she will let you know as soon as possible whether or not you are suitable for the post. (Please
see the ONLINE CLASSES page for further details) If you apply to be a teacher, but are not accepted, then you may apply
as a student, if you wish.
What's a student name?
A student name is just that. It is the name you will be using on the forums, as well as on your homework
assignments. It can be your real name, or a fake one. You can even join as one of the book characters. (For example, if you
wish to join up as Hermione Granger, then you may. Just put that as your student name when email you House placement quiz
to the headmistress.)
What do I do in the forum?
If you apply for the school, and are accepted, then you must join the forum. The forum
is where your classes and assignments will be posted, but it is also a place where you can get to know your fellow schoolmates.
What happens if I don't have time for the homework?
The teachers here at Hogwarts understand that not all people will have time to turn in their assignments.
We have busy lives (which means it may sometimes take a day or two to get an assigment back), you have busy lives...it's something
we must all face. If you cannot complete an assignment, you can either email you professor(s) or just not turn it in. You
will not be punished for missing an assignment.
How can I earn House points?
House points can be earned in several ways. For one, you can turn in your homework assignments. This
is an easy way to earn points. You can also earn them by helping new members find their way around the boards, or by an act
of noticable kindness. There are plenty of ways to earn House points. Be creative. :)
Can I email my teachers with any questions?
Of course you can. We encourage you to do so.
Will there be Quidditch teams?
If we can someday get enough members to join, then yes, we will have Quidditch teams. So spread the
word!
How do I become a prefect?
There are no try-outs for the prefect positions. Prefects will be selected by the teachers.
Do I RP on the forum, or do I just act as myself?
This is a roleplaying site, so yes, you do RP on the forum. Please remember to stay in character
at all times, unless you somehow exhibit that you are NOT roleplaying. For more details, please visit our forum.
