Name: Christine
Nicknames: Chris, Penny, Penners, CB
Age: 18
Pets: This is a long list. I have two rats named Hermione
and Chip, a dog named Callie, two water turtles (George and Johnny 5), and two guinea pigs (Sugar Baby and Tumbleweed). My
sister also has a few mice hanging somewhere around her room, but I honestly don't know how many she has anymore.
Likes: Hmm...let's see.... I love reading and writing (I hope
to become a writer someday, with my mum). I also like video games a lot. Especially DDR and PaRappa. Oh, and my newest? Harry
Potter Quidditch World Cup! I love having long, in-depth conversations, especially those about controversial issues. I also
like me mum. HI MUM!
Music: I absoulutely ADORE the Beatles (that was my picture
of Paul McCartney that was put up!), and my favorite modern bands include Weezer, System of a Down, and, my newest addition,
Flattbush. I like a lot of older music as well (like the Grateful Dead), and stuff I grew up with. Counting Crows, Smashing
Pumpkins, Presidents of the United States of America, and Bush. The list goes on and on.... I'm also a pretty big Norah Jones
fan. I think she is an amazing woman who doesn't recieve all the credit she deserves. Come on, people! At least she's all
about the music, unlike SOME of the artists that are out there today! (I won't mention any names.... *coughbritneyandchristinacough*
Fave Books (Besides Harry Potter, that is): I love Stephen King, he's one of my
favorite authors. Some of his best, I think, are : The Shining, IT, Dreamcatcher, The Stand, The Green Mile, Christine (that's
me!), Bag of Bones, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Pet Sematary, Firestarter, Cujo, and Needful Things. (Gee, I'm not obsessed
with Stephen King TOO, am I?) I also love the Pendragon books, something you should DEFINITELY check out. I highly reccomend
them to anybody! Winter of Fire is also one of my favorites.
Fave movies: Of course, I love all the Beatles movies. (Help!,
A Hard Day's Night, Let It Be, and Magical Mysetry Tour. [I don't really count Yellow Submarine as a Beatles movie....]) I'm
also a HUGE Trey Parker fan. Cannibal! the Musical, Orgazmo, BASEketball, and the South Park movie are definitely some of
my faves! I also looooove horror movies. I seriously think I am obsessed. (But, then again, I'm obsessed with a lot of this,
in case you hadn't already noticed.) Some of the best horror movies, in my opinion, are Poltergeist, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre
(haven't seen the remake yet), The Ring, The Exorcist, and House of a Thousand Corpses. Oh, and who could say no to a good
ol' Peter Jackson film? Gore is great, go Pete! As with my music, the list could go on and on. Another movie that I think
deserves recognition is The Rocky Horror Picture Show. And just about ANY movie with Jim Carrey in it! Oh, and Disney movies
too. You gotta love the Disney movies!
What my room looks like: Right now, I could describe my room
in three words: messy as hell. But hopefully I'll get around to cleaning it soon. It'd be a really cool room, if only it were
a bit cleaner! I have my Beatles posters all around the room, along with a Timmy one, one of The Truman Show, and a few others.
I have my stereo (tapedeck, cd player, a half-way decent reciever, and *sniff* my broken turntable), and a pretty nice tv.
And of course, my computer. *pets her computer* My rats stay in here with me too, though in seperate cages.
What do I collect? I love collecting Beatles merchandise.
I currently have 88 vinyls, 64 of which are Beatles or solo Beatle albums. I am extremely proud of my record collection and
will brag about it at any given moment. I also have a TON of Beatle book, cds, and a few little collectible items. Like I
said before, I absolutely ADORE them! :)
My dream: Ha. I figure I should put this part in, seeing as
how most people do on things like this. I hope to someday play the role of Mary Magdeline in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.
(It's from the seventies, a lovely decade, in my opinion.) Will it happen? I highly doubt it. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed
anyway!
I also hope to become a psychologist someday. I'm attending
a community college right now, and I find my psychology class simply fascinating! I'm probably going to end up having a double-major
in either psychology and music. (Or possibly English too.)

Harry Potter and Me
I remember back in about tenth grade or so, when my mum read the first Harry Potter
book. I myself had never read one, and I only knew about it from hearing about different schools placing a ban on it. I remember
my friend Kira reading the book, and I scoffed at her. I thought it was so lame.
So when my mum came to me with the first book, telling me to read it, I scoffed
at her too. But I read it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised, and I stayed up all night reading it.
For some reason, it ended there. I didn't move on to the second book, and months
passed without me even thinking of Harry Potter again.
Then the first movie came out on DVD. I watched it when we rented it, and again,
I was surprised at how good it was! I immeditaely went to my room and found the first book, reading it all over again. Of
course, after that, I didn't like the movie as much, but I didn't care. I went on to read the rest of the books. From then
on out, I was hooked! (I was one of the weirdos getting my book at midnight last July.) I've read them all a lot now.
SS- Eight times total.
CoS- Six times, I didn't like this one as much....
PoA- Ten times.
GoF- Nine times.
OotP- Five times.
Okay, okay. I know I haven't read them as much as a lot of people, but that's because
I read a lot of other books too.
