Mom was the best cook and mother and all the good things a wife and mother should be. She was and is still greatly loved.

Mom was born in Roaring River in Wilkes County, NC. Their parents farmed and owened a sawmill. Later they moved to Keysville, Va. and then to Roxboro. There she met the man she would marry and always love, Our Dad, Clayton Perry Owen-better known as (Dick). We lived on Broad Street in East Roxboro amongust many kin folk. Aunt Charlotte live next door with her daughter, Mary Humpriers. Aunt Ada and Uncle Web lived five houses up the other side of Broad Street toward town. Uncle Andrew Clayton lived two house up toward Aunt Adas on our side of the street. Dad bought two lots from Uncle Andrew where our house was located. Uncle Andrew's son live next door. Across from the son, lived Moms aunt Annie Mae Church Sparks. Isaac Newton Church's sister. Aunt Maude and uncle Graham live on a street beside Aunt Ada and right behind Annie Mae Sparks. Two houses up live Aunt Magnolia and Uncle Oscar with Marcus and Vickie. Two houses down, Broad Street ended. On the street it exited into live my first cousin James Owen.
