Memories

Grandfather was a dictated family man. He provided for his children and others that he took in. Aunt Ada said that her father worked third shift at Roxboro Cotton Mills and he would come home each morning at 4am to build a fire in the stove and fire place so the house would be warm when they got up. She does not remember every getting up in a cold house. He died 3 months after the pasting of his Susie. It is said that he died of grief.
