Mom and I fell in love with Newport earlier in the Spring. So much so that I am hoping to have a wedding there next August.
Of course, dad, being the king of the hill, needed to give his seal of approval. We decided to spend Labor Day Weekend there
pretty much last minute. I arranged a meeting with the Newport Preservation Society so he can have a facility tour of Rosecliff,
made a few dining arrangements and we were on our way. Happy to say dad fell in love with it too, and we have our date and
venue holding for next year providing all goes well. We spent the weekend walking around, shopping, dining - even on the Newport
Dinner Train, sending summer out in style!
