Sean was in...

Sean has appeared in over 25 motion pictures. His first major appearance in a feature film was as "Mikey Walsh" in The Goonies, one of the most popular kids' adventure films of all time. In Where the Day Takes You, his portryal of a strung out homeless kid on the streets of Hollywood marked a dramatic evolution in his career. Then, in 1993, he starred in TriStar Pictures' Rudy, which established him as a working-class hero and an inspirational role model to people around the world. Now he has undertaken his most ambitious project ever: playing Samwise Gamgee in New Line Cinema's blockbuster trilogy The Lord of the Rings, based on J.R.R. Tolkien's immensely popular books.
 
Sean recently concluded filming on the second season of J. Michael Straczynski's Jeremiah for Showtime Networks.
 
Sean is co-starring with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in Columbia Pictures' 50 First Dates, a romantic comedy that opens nationwide on Valentines Day weekend, Februrary 13, 2004.
 
He is srarring in Slipstream, a sci-fi feature directed by David van Eyssen, filming in South Africa for release in 2004.
 
Other notable performances have been with Brendan Fraser in Encino Man, Memphis Belle with Matthew Modine and Eric Stoltz, Warren Beatty's Bulworth, HBO's sci-fi movie Harrison Bergeron, Safe Passage with Susan Saeandon and Sam Shepard, Boy Meets Girl, and Toy Solduers.

Favorite Movie

I would have to say so far my fav movie is ROTK. I have always loved LOTR and Sean Astin. So when i found out he was doing the movies i was really happy. So, yeah, ROTK is the best out of the three. : )
