The Shippensburg Low Brass section consists of tubas, baritones, trombones, and both tenor and baritone saxes.
The school supplies most of the instruments used in the section. Recently, our marching baritones
were purchased in 2001. The tubas are next in line for upgrades as they are desperately in need of new equipment.
As the winners of the Director's Award in 1995, 2002 and 2003, the Low Brass section looks to continue our tradition
of excellence in the band each Fall. Our section is widely seen as one of the most enjoyable sections in the band. Our
history of crazy antics has given us a repuation of being that "special section." . We are also one of the largest
sections in the band and by far the most outgoing.
