Each fall, on an off weekend for the band, we try to organize a section road trip to an away football game. This
tradition just started a few years ago and it has grown like nobody would believe!
The general agenda is to leave Ship early in the morning (at least for a Saturday) and drive out to wherever the Raiders
are playing that weekend. When we arrive we fire up the grill and turn on the music and relax before the game.
Then we go into the stands and support our team as much as we can.
The 2004 road trip brought 60+ fans to root on our team at Millersville for a night football game. The road
trip had 3 waves of travelers leaving at different times and trickling into the Penn Manor High School parking lot (right
behind the Ville stadium). This trip featured a flag, messed up Mapquest directions, wrong turns, 3 grills, a visit
by alumni, a visit from brothers of Pi Nu Epsilon, and one awesome offensive explosion by the Raiders. No kazoos
this year but we did manage to belt out "First down" for just about EVERY Raider first down!
We hope everyone has a good time on these trips. Thanks for coming out!
