     Brother Oscar F. Reyes was born January 16,1973 in Los Angeles, California.  Since he was young his goal was to become a doctor of medicine.  During his time at Western Illinois University he pursued his career as a  Pre Med student as well as the position of historian.  He maintained the historical archives of Beta Chapter and recorded all our current events and functions.    Currently, he is earning his degree at Joliet College and is employed by Ameritech Phone Company.
    Recently, Oscar was married to his lovely wife Beatrice on August 29, 1998 and they reside happily in Chicago.  Soon they will be investing in a beautiful home in Joliet, IL.  He has started some of the joys of life that we as younger brothers look forward to and Brother Reyes is just one of the many Beta Chapter brothers that can be looked upon as a positive role model for these experiences to come.

    Brother Miguel A. Hernandez was born August 5, 1973 in Mexico City, Mexico.  At the age of two he arrived in the United States to take advantage of opportunities that were difficult to attain living in Mexico.  In 1992 Miguel enlisted in the United States Navy and learned to develop his skills and gain experiences traveling the world.  This military background would set the foundation in his strive for a degree in the nations #1 university in Law Enforcement, Western Illinois University.  When Brother Miguel joined the fraternity in the fall of 1995, time would prove him to be a vital factor in the organization.  He endured some experiences along the way that challenged his identity, but with God, his family and brotherhood to guide him he, was able to return to his goals.  As Secretary of Executive Board he has assisted in maintaining the clear communication lines among other organizations as well as within our own.  He has helped in implementing ideas to improve the status of the organization as well as keeping an organizational structure in our philantrophies.  Brother Hernandez has shown without a doubt that he is an important entity in SLB, Beta Chapter.

    Brother Javier Maldonado was born October 24, 1976 in Chicago, IL.  He is of Puerto Rican decent and since his establishment in SLB in the fall of '95, he has portrayed himself as a leader.  The work he accomplished at Beta chapter would set the foundation for his contributions to his future leadership roles.  Due to an experience that he endured early in his college career, led him to rise up as one of the pillars of the student community at Illinois State University.  Javier earned the position of Chief of Staff of Student Government and Activities.  Currently, he is striving for one of the elite positions of Board of Trustees at Illinois State University.  Gaining this role would open unlimited doors and opportunities for Brother Maldonado, and will definitely pave the steps for his goal to be one of the few powerful latinos that are seated in today's Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Governments.

Brother Angel Avalos, the son of Mexican Immigrants, was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 1, 1977.  Angel is the first in his family to attend a University.  He is an undergraduate student at Western Illinois University, home of our Beta Chapter.  Brother Avalos served as Chapter President for two consecutive terms from 1996-98.  He is currently majoring in Bilingual Education.  Brother Avalos became a member of the fraternity in the Fall of 1995 as a first semester freshman.  His pledge name is "Gelos."  As an undergraduate brother, he was awarded the 1998 National Pan Hellenic Council (formerly known as the United Hellenic Council at WIU) Fraternity Member of the year, Greek Week Chair for 1998, Student Leader of the Month for February 1997, Secretary of the Latin American Student Organization, active member of the Association of Bilingual/Bi-cultural Education Students Organization, Student Orientation Staff, and Partnership for Progress Mentorship Program.  As an undergraduate representative, brother Avalos will serve as a liaison between the Undergraduate Chapters and Colonies and the National Board of Directors.

    Brother Louie J. Delgado was born May 30, 1975 in Portsmouth VA. on Norfolk Regional Navy Base.  Throughout the time Louie spent at Gordon Technical H.S. and Crystal Lake South H.S. he was a leading teammate in football, wrestling, and track & field, and a member of  the Spanish Club and Student Council.  Now at the university level, brother Delgado has earned a Bachelor of Business in Management, worked to become a four year veteran of Western Illinois University's Track & Field Team, a member of  the Latin American Student Organization, a member of the Student Orientation Staff, and a representative of the Student Government Association.  Currently he is a graduate student working on his masters in sport management and is striving to eventually become a CEO of a professional organization.   Soon approaching the third year anniversary of his six line brothers and him, Los Galanes initiated December 4, 1995 at Beta Chapter, Western Illinois University.
    Throughout his time as a brother he has earned the positions of Vice President, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Social Chairperson, and Dean of Pledges (To be pc Mebership Educator) and is the creator of "The Art of Road Trips." Louie is always striving to make a difference with whomever he meets and wherever he may travel, be it here at Beta Chapter or traveling to other schools and chapters.

    Brother Michael A. Flores was born November 15, 1977 in Chicago, Illinois.  During his time at Western Illinois University he has been working towards a double major in Law Enforcement and Spanish.  Throughout his position as president he has helped maintain all the duties and responsibilities that a man in his position should.  Rather some of the more important, for example, the maintenance of our high organizational reputation here at W.I.U. campus, insurance that the men of SLB comport themselves as gentlemen, and that we as an organization and as individuals allow our diverse leadership techniques to shape the chapter into preparation for the millennium.  Brother Flores has an artistic talent when it comes to expressing himself with the many avenues that individuals experience through life.  He portrays this in a portfolio that he updates with current drawings of dreams, thoughts, and visions.  One day along with his career he wishes to become a free lance artist to keep his passion of drawing alive.

    Brother Raul Rosales Jr. was born March 14, 1977 in Chicago IL.  He entered the nations #1 Law Enforcement Program at Western Illinois University in 1995.  During his work towards a law enforcement major and private security minor he earned his way into Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated and gained the position of Secretary of Executive Board.  Along with this position Raul's contributions as a Dean of Pledges helped the organization maintain the high caliber recruitment of men necessary to operate this fraternity.  Brother Rosales will be graduating this spring in May 1999.  His focus in life is "Empowering the latino movement by being a productive leader in the latino community.  By majoring in Law Enforcement, I can deter crime and be a solution to the problems that currently exist in today's society.  Through my many attributes, I can better myself, my community and my world."

    Brother Juan Carlos Morales was born October 19, 1974 in Chicago, IL.  He started his college career at Wright College and decided he wanted more from the college experience.  In the spring of '98 he was accepted to the #1 Law Enforcement program in the nation, Western Illinois University.  Carlos has been striving towards a degree in Law Enforcement with a emphasis in Justice Administration.  In pursuit of his degree he has earned the position of Vice President in our great organization.  Although he has attended Western only for a year he has contributed so much as a brother with his "keep it real" attitude.  Brother Morales is not afraid to speak his mind and it stems from being a strong minded individual as well as an athlete in his early college years as a baseball player.  Carlos will be graduating this semester and has been accepted in the Chicago Police Academy to start his career in Law Enforcement and eventually strive to become a special agent in one of our higher government agencies.

    Brother Gabriel Lara was born July 18, 1978 in Chicago, IL.  After graduating  from Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, Gabe started his college career at Moraine Valley Community College.  During his stay at Moraine Valley, Brother Gabe was involved with the school paper and won 3rd place for Best Editorial in the Illinois Community College Journalism Association Awards.  In the fall of '99, Gabe was accepted to Western Illinois University.    In his first year at Western Illinois, Brother Gabe was involved with the Latin American Student Organization (L.A.S.O.).  In his second semester, Brother Gabe was elected the Vice President of L.A.S.O.  The following semester, he became the President. During the fall semester of 2000, Brother Gabe was initiated into Sigma Lambda Beta, Beta Chapter on December 3, 2000 as the Captain of five men of ship L.C.T.M.R.  He has served as  President of the Chapter from 2001 to 2002.  Gabe is currently serving as the Central District Southern Regional Representative for Sigma Lambda Beta and President of the WIU's National Pan-Hellenic Council.  He received  his Bachelor's Degree in Spanish with a minor in Sociology in May, 2002.  Gabe is currently attending Graduate School at Western Illinois University for his degree in College Student Personnel.

Jose "Maximus" Alonzo born March 23, 1975. Jose born and raised in Elgin Illinois grew up with seven brothers and sisters. He is the first generation of his family in this country, his parents immigrated here from Guanajuato Mexico in 1965. Jose attended Elgin Community College between 1998 and 2000 school years. While attending E.C.C. he was involved in O.L.A.S. (Organization of Latin American Students). He served on the executive board for two years; one year as Treasurer and his final year at E.C.C. as President. Jose transferred to Western Illinois University in the fall of 2000. He was an active member of L.A.S.O. (Latin American Student Organization) where he served on the Executive Board for a year as Educational Chair. Jose became a brother of Sigma Lambda Beta on December 3, 2000 along with five other men on the line L.C.T.M.R. As a Neo he served as D.O.P (Dean of Pledges) from Spring 2000 to Fall 2000, succesfully crossing a line on December 1, 2001, ship C.A.O.T.I.C. His career goals are to obtain a Bachelors in history and teach at the high school level while going to Graduate school. He also plans on teaching at a community college and working with students and motivating them to strive to be the best just like Sigma Lambda Beta did for him.
