"These paintings are the result of developmental drawings produced over a number of years. There was little intent at the time most of the drawings were produced to create a "series", yet the works have a natural link through content/iconography, composition, style, and particularly with idea. I have a fascination with metamorphosis, particularly with anthropomorphic transformation, of the type which litter ancient Greek and Roman Myth. A sense of the intangible, perhaps a feeling of De`javu, is the reason behind the "haunted" interiors. Self-examination is not intended, yet we have ultimately only ourselves as reference, and the dopplegangers or wraiths can come from within." Lee-Anne Raymond
