Fame  Is Hard  3.

“Thank you!” Somer said into the microphone to the screaming hall. They
had given her a
standing ovation, and she couldn't have been happier. This is exactly what
she had wanted her entire
life. She waved and grinned as she went backstage, sweaty and exhausted.
Kevin met her with a towel, wanting to tell her how great she had done,
“That was a great show,
Somer. I didn't know you could move like that.”
“Thank you. I try,” she smiled up at him, wiping her face with the
towel, then looked up at him,
studying his face and body, “Well I better go back to the hotel. I'll see
you tomorrow.”
“We're all going out after the show. Come.”
She smiled, “Perhaps.”
“Kev! We're on, now!” Brian shouted at his cousin. He didn't like
that Kevin had taken such a
liking to the one person on the tour that he was having difficulties dealing
with.
“I better see you there, Somer, really.”
“Maybe,” she turned and walked away, pants clinging to every curve. He
watched her for a
moment, then turned back to Brian's impatient eyes, “I'm coming, I'm
coming.”

“Come on, Somer, you have to go. Everyone's expecting you to,” Toy, Jen
and Rachel had been trying to persuade her to go for fifteen straight minutes.
“But I'm just not in the mood. I'll see you guys back at the hotel,
okay?”
“No, come on, you have to go. Beth's gonna go, aren't you Beth?” Jen
asked, turning around to face her.
“Yeah, I think so. I need to change though, if I'm going to.”
“Well then you guys can go back to the hotel and change, but I am
expecting you to get right back here and go with us,” Rachel demanded.
“Maybe. If not, Beth will definitely be here, okay? I'll see you
later,” she slung her bag over her shoulder, leaving her costumes strewn
around the room.
“Why don't you go, Somer? It's gonna be fun,” Beth followed her,
bouncing on the balls of her feet as soon as they walked into the door of
their hotel room.
“I don't know, just go get ready to go out. I'll help you put your hair
up the way you like it.”
“Fine,” she pouted, slumping her shoulders as she went into the closet.
Beth started to look through Somer's clothes and by premonition she knew and
shouted at her, “Don't you dare even think of wearing my clothes. Wear your
own.”
“But I don't have anything. Come on, Somer.”
She got up from her bed and went to the closet, saying, “Okay, but if you
do I get to pick it out,” she started to look through all her clothes,
finally picking out an orange tank top and gray flares, “Get my boots out
too. The black ones.”
She picked up the knee high lace up boots with over-exaggerated
platforms, “Perfect. This is awesome of you, Somer.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know. Go change,” she smiled, pushing her best friend
into the bathroom.

“Where's Somer?” Kevin asked, holding the champagne rose he had gotten
for her.
“At the hotel. Kevin, what's that?” Beth teased, implying the rose.
“Nothing, Beth. Hey guys, I'll see you tomorrow, I'm gonna go back to
the hotel.”
A chorus of “oohs” and “Kev's gonna hit it” came from the entire group;
A.J. was demonstrating obscene gestures to all of their enjoyment, except for
Kev. He got a little annoyed and walked to his truck in anger.
“Grow up a little, A.J.,” he mumbled as he started his truck.

A knock came to Somer's door and she started, startled because of the
content of her book.
“Jesus Christ, Beth, why do you always have to forget your key?” She mumbled
to herself, leaving the comfort of her bed, taking her glasses off. She
didn't even bother to put a robe on over her tank top and short shorts,
thinking she was just going to go right back to bed.
She swung open the door, “Next time I won't answer it. You'll just have
to remember...” Her words trailed off as she actually looked up and saw Kevin
standing in front of her, “Hi.”
“Have to remember what? Because I can't forget your face. This is for
you,” he handed her the rose and she sniffed it, looking up into his eyes,
“Thank you.”
She remembered herself and stepped back out of the doorway, “Do you want
to come in for a little while?”
“If you wouldn't mind, I think that would be great,” he stepped in and
she sat on the bed, the rose still to her nose. She had forgotten about her
clothes, or lack thereof, but he couldn't get his eyes off her skimpy attire.
The sight of her dressed like that made him harden almost instantly.
“Sit down,” she swung her legs up to recline against the headboard,
leaving him room to sit next to her.
“O-Okay,” he did as she asked, trying to overcome the uncomfortable
sensation he was experiencing in his loins. He leaned back as casually as he
could, placing his hands strategically over his `problem.'
“So where was everyone going?” She flipped the television on, crossing
her legs at the ankles; those perfectly tanned legs that had him crazy.
“Uh, some new club,” he traveled her body with his eyes, wanting to
press his lips to every single square inch of her flesh.
She looked over at him, seeing his eyes all over her, undressing her with
his eyes. She looked down at herself, “Good God, I'm not decent,” she got
under her blankets.
