Bunny and her friends gather around Rini's cold body, after the doctor announces her heart has stopped. Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna walk in, explaining the girl's hoste, soul, has been taken. It's what the Death Busters do, turning the soulless bodies into slaves. At this point, Bunny realizes Hotaru did not awaken as Sailor Saturn, but rather someone else. The outer soldiers go on to explain that as a Daimon vessel, it will be easier for them to kill Hotaru, like they planned from the beginning. They feel they must think of saving the planet above the lives of Rini and Hotaru. Darien uses his life force to keep Rini's body alive while the others go off to get back the Crystal from what Hotaru has become.

Hotaru's changed body complains of being confined in a human form, and is called Mistress 9 as Professor Tomoe and Kaori Night greet her. She sends the latter off to dispose of the "impurities" and takes the Silver Imperium Crystal to Master Pharaoh 90 himself. Energy is absorbed from it as they contemplate the hidden power within its depths. But then Mistress 9 hears a gentle voice from within, saying it was protected "by the beautiful innocent soul" of Rini.

The Sailor Scouts enter the Infinity Bank and find the college building covered by strange growth, like thick vines. They are greeted at the front desk by Cyprine and Petite Roll. Darkness falls, and Mars finds herself alone with Eudial, while Mercury is with Viluy, Venus with Mimette, and Jupiter with Tellu. They are each lulled into thinking it best not to fight, to give up being a scout for their own dreams and desires. Sailor Moon is by herself, and sees her friends come up to her telling her everything is her own fault. Even a false Darien comes up to her, tearing the specter of Rini apart before her eyes. Bunny is able to tell it is all an illusion and shatters it with her "Moon Spiral Heart Attack".

Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all fight their way into Infinity College, where they find the inner soldiers trapped on a pillar surrounded by the resurrected Witches 5. They each attack, destroying the false witches and freeing their trapped comrades. Sailor Moon comes running up and the 8 scouts all put their powers together, and Sailor Moon transforms into Super Sailor Moon with her "Moon Crisis Make Up".

The soldiers all go up to confront Kaori Night, who transforms into a daimon. With her "Rainbow Moon Heartache" Super Sailor Moon manages to defeat the enemy.

Mistress 9 sees the defeat of Kaori Night and ingests the Silver Imperium Crystal, her eyes glowing.
