As Mistress 9 ingests the Silver Imperium Crystal, she fills with power and brings it to Master Pharaoh 90, who feels he can complete his vessel transformation with the energy of the Crystal. However, the spirit of Hotaru remains inside Mistress 9, holding the power back, not letting her break free from the body and use the Crystal.

All of the Sailor Soldiers wander around the strangely abandoned Infinity College building, worried by the stillness around them. They decide to split up, with the inner scouts heading up, and Super Sailor Moon joining Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto to travel down to the basement on the elevator. As they drop down into the college, Uranus and the others tell Super Sailor Moon of their loneliness in their previous lives, each isolated on their own planet, preventing outside intruders from threatening the happiness of their queen and princess.

Suddenly, the elevator crashes to a halt, the occupants tumbling out. Bunny begins to disparage, but then remembers her inner light, to never give up. With new resolve, she attacks the surrounding darkness with "Rainbow Moon Heartache!" The illusion is destroyed as the four occupants thump on the bottom of the elevator as it reaches the ground floor.

Professor Tomoe greets them with a group of daimons. Pluto and Neptune attack, killing the demon creatures. Then he himself talks of his master's "quickening" and transforms into a creature, not quite daimon or human, a "union of alien and human." After a failed attack by Sailor Uranus, Super Sailor Moon kills him.

A giant welling of power begins to affect all the soldiers and Bunny transforms back into regular Sailor Moon. Black swelling fills the sky as they look into the glass dome surrounding the shrine built for Pharaoh 90 and see Mistress 9 glaring up at them.
