The Gold CME Medallion bears the University of Santo Tomas' Fountain of
Knowledge with it's figure holding up the Book of Books (Truth), the University Cross with the Seal of the Faculty of Medicine
& Surgery, the founding year of the UST-FMS Continuing Medical Education (MCMLXXIX-1979), the laurel leaves of Excellence,
and birds in flight which together with the fountain symbolized our unending quest for knowledge through continuing medical
education.
