Jugaya has lived alone for a few years. Inside her boarding house, she gathers her things and starts to make the three-day trip to her brother's grave. Along with her mother and father's. She is on the train, waiting for her stop, when someone sits next to her. He is asking questions about her ring, which she doesn't like. When she turns to tell him off, she sees that it is her brother Yata. She is so happy to see him! He tells her all about his adventures with mermaid's flesh. It can make you immortal, which is why Jugaya never gets hurt. Both have eaten the flesh. There is a risk. It can also transform you into a Lost Soul, which the giver must kill. But there are many drawbacks in everything, as he explains. His manner is very nervous when speaking of the past, and he's the worst liar Jugaya's ever seen. She knows everything he says is a lie. But he smells like Yata did, of old fish. He acts like Yata did. He looks like Yata. She is beginning to doubt he even is. Thigns continue to get weirder, as she remember more and more of a young girl named Ningyo. Ningyo means "mermaid", so why is this girl bothering her? Are they related? She can't remember, and Yata won't tell her. She is getting desperate. What ARE mermaids? And why do they seem to be hovering about all her conversation? Can she escape this person who claims to be her brother? She is beginning to think she's insane. . . but how can someone not be, she asks herself. She isn't sure of anything any more, and she isn't about to give up on that mermaid flesh quite so easily this time. . . .
No pictures, but here's the story! I don't know if it works. ^_^
