Vietnam is a wonderful country that offers its rich 4,000 year history, interesting culture, green & wild nature, friendly local people and 54 colourful hill tribe groups. But more and more travelers are coming to Vietnam by all modes which makes the country a boom. Places are getting busier, locals are more commercial and backpackers are running around all corners, these hassles would sometimes spoil your holiday. Showing folks around to less-touristy spots in a small sized group was an innovative idea thought up by three youngsters, who founded Handspan travel, the only agent in town specialise in family holidays and green adventures. The Handspan dudes have been guiding for several years now for many travel agents in Vietnam. After the trips up and down the country in big groups, they find out that most travelers recognised they would have had a greater time if theyve set themselves just a couple of rice paddies away from main street where it is quieter and the hilltribes do not harass them to buy handicrafts. Then, the guys made it up to have their own travel agent and do their own business showing travelers around through the back-door. As soon as the agent jump into action, Handspan travel has loads of rave reports and gets to be mentioned in Lonely Planet Guide Book. More later, they set up this web site at least to give you the idea about the best way to explore our country to see the most interest things that still stays untouched. Here are some words from them. Thang: "We love our country and we love those who are coming!"
Graduated: Foreign Trade Linh: "Please feel free to drop us a line, even for free advice, we would be more than happy to help."
Peak activity: After finishing his research on Ethnic Minorities in
Vietnam, he crossed the Hoang Lien Son mountains along the borders from Lao Cai down to
Ninh Binh (32 days) on foot. Vinh: "Whether you go with us or not, we guys do hope to see you soon in Vietnam. " Dedicating his life to traveling, he has been all over Vietnam from top to tail, by all modes of transport from hitching to boating and trucking to training. Spending five years bumming around the country, Vinh has managed to complete a university degree in Business (seems strange ???). Peak activity: Hike up to Fansipan peak (3143 m) in 3 days |
