Club Information

The WA Superkart club was established in 1970 and has approximately 30 racing members and 10 social members. Including 3 life members. The club races 6 classes of karts, these include 100cc non-gearbox, 80cc junior and senior, 125 whisper class (controlled), 125cc motorcross, 125 GP class and 250cc national.

Race meetings are conducted at Barbagallo Raceway, Wanneroo on a monthly basis. The races are usually over 5 heats ranging from 6 - 10 laps on distance covering approximately 12 -20kms in length. The clubs Premier events include The Bob Sully 2-hour endurance race, Dale Cup, 5 round State Championship, The King of Karts and also several club days.

All members eagerly support these events and Sprintkart drivers are also welcome to participate with the WASC. The club has an ongoing responsibility to foster new membership to this form of karting and various activities are arranged to show the vehicles and their abilities.

These range from street circuit racing in the Joondalup classis and the Goomalling Historic Flyer, Drag racing at Quit Motorplex, Kwinana Beach, educational visits to metropolitan Senior High Schools, Hill Climbs and Motorkhana events. These prove very popular and generate immense interest with the public.

Promotional days are also conducted by the club and through the use of the clubs own Superkart for hire, potential driver can experience superkarting on the open circuit at Barbagallo Raceway.

Monthly meeting are held at the Victoria Park Recreational Centre to discuss general business and future events. All visitor are welcome to attend.
