A ring of 8 small bells, the tenor weighing 10lbs in the key of G.

The bells were cast in July 1997 by Matthew Higby and Richard Bowditch and originally installed by Matthew Higby and Tom Chapman on 14 July 1997 in the home of Anne Carpenter, Crowthorne, Berkshire, UK.

The Campanile is named in memory

of

Canon G F Coleridge 1857 - 1949

President of the Central Council 1921 - 1930

Master of the Oxford Diocesan Guild 1933 - 1946

(Chairman of the Sonning Deanery Branch 1923 - 1947)

Vicar of Crowthorne, Berkshire 1904 - 1949

The bells were the generous gift of Anne Carpenter to Peter Bevis and Helen McGregor and were installed by Matthew Higby on Thursday 16th December 1999 in Waccabuc, New York, USA.  We would be delighted to welcome any ringers, non ringers, grabbers, quarter pealers, peal ringers, long length ringers etc etc to visit and make use of these bells which we hope will become a valuable resource for the area - and beyond.  Please drop us an email to make arrangements either to join the 4 of us for a ring (Helen, Peter Laura (13) and Catherine (10), or to bring your own band.  The bells are particularly excellent for teaching children!!!

We have now had two practices, on 23rd January 2000 and 30th January 2000.  We rang rounds, plain hunt, bob major, Cambridge and London, with considerable success.  The next practice is scheduled for mid February.
