patience anddetermination. And understanding. And Love. That's what
fuses the two of you into this marvellous partnership that makes
you wonder, what can Heaven offer any better than what you have here
on earth?

Where in this world can man find nobility without pride, friendship
without envy, beauty without vanity? Here, where grace is laced with
muscle, and strength by gentleness confined. He serves without
servility; he has fought without enmity. There is nothing so powerful,
nothing less violent, there is nothing so quick, nothing so patient.
Our past has been borne on his back. Our History is his industry. We
are his heirs, and he is our inheritance. Ladies and gentlemen, I can
only be mentioning the Horse.

A horse already knows how to be a horse; the rider has to learn how to
become a rider. A horse without a rider is still a horse; a rider without
a horse is no longer a rider.
