Standard Rods
All rods come with two tips, a cotton bag, and brushed aluminum carrying case, nickle silver reel seats and furrels.

#1) 8 1/2' or 9' three part rod based on the "canadian Canoe" taper by Jim Payne. A 7 wt, it is a slow, powerful rod designed for use in boats.

#2) 8 1/2' two part rod based on F E Thomas GE-20 taper, which is a fast rod. Can be built for a 5 or 6 wt line.

#3) 8' 0r 7 1/2' two part rod based on Bill Warra's best taper, a smotth medium action, 5 wt line.

#4) 7 1/2' two part rod based on T & T Paradyne taper. 4 or 5 wt linw.

#5) 7 1/2' or 7' two part rod based on Paul Young's Para taper. Parabolic action. 4 or 5 wt line. #6) 7' medium action rod based on Wayne Cattanach taper. Can be built for a a 3, 4, or 5 wt line.

#7) 6 1/2' two part small stream rod. Don Anderson's taper. Can be built for a 3 or 4 wt line. Pleasant parabolic action.

#8) 6' two part rod using the F E Thomas Special Fairy taper. Light but strong caster, can be built for casting 3 or 4 wt line.


Cane Rods are still the sweetest fishing tool for fly fishing light weight lines. The ease of casting once timing is learned, makes for accuracy and the feel of the rod makes for a pleasant time when a fish is on.

Custom bamboo rods can be made blond, flamed, brown tone colored, light or dark.
