~ And so, all of my dragons have grown up. At least for the time being. But there was one certain egg that I've had my eye on since it was clutched. It'll be an odd choice for me at least in light of my other dragons thus far, but everyone needs something new now and then. Mandarb might not like his new cavemate, but the big oaf will just have to deal with it (and I say oaf only in the nicest of ways).

But back to what I was getting at. I've been watching this egg for a very long time now and no one has adopted it. It surprised me quite a bit. But I haven't yet gotten to the lineage of this little one. It is from the first clutch of Teal and Goldenrod. Teal is a Steam dragon, which is 1/2 Fire and 1/2 Water, and Goldenrod is a Muddy Buddy dragon, which is 1/2 Day and 1/2 Earth. This is a Marigold dragon and as such is 1/4 Water, Fire, Earth, and Day.

~ The first of eight to hatch. Dawning, as I think I will call her from now on, had a look of contemplation about her. Almost a sereneness. The "I choose you" that comes from her wasn't quite in the background of the chorus, but it wasn't pushy and in the front either.

~ My first outing happened to be during the second great storm of DRAC. I met this strange Vortex named Varg whom actually wanted to stay stuck in a bog. He wasn't very thankful, which didn't surprise me. He seemed like the mean type from the start. I shouldn't have helped him at all, but I did. Good deed for the millennium, you think?

~ So Varg ran away like the dragon that he is and I continued walking. Thankfully the rain stopped and I ran into two RB dragons. An adult named Roah'lynd and a dragonpillar named Solstealar. Quite interesting the two of them, and they aren't related a bit.
