Hobbit:
Hobbits were made famous by the hero of the Ring in the realm of Middle Earth. These hill dwelling people do not like fighting and will find ways around it if they can. They tend to be quite short and never wear shoes. Hobbits first came to Crossroads with the aid of the Protoss.

Gnome:
Gnomes come in 2 varieties, fighter and inventor. Tho only 1 gnomish invention has ever worked completely correctly, they have managed to create their own way of harnesing the teleportation of the Nexus. However the device was created to act as an anti-gravity belt.

Dwarf:
These short, burly mountain dwellers are know for their short tempers and their larger axes. Native to the mountains to the Northeast of Crossroads dwarves did not need any help or devices top bring them to the city.

Elf:
Elves are a mysterious folk that live for centuries in the solitude of the forest only occationally venturing into towns. They are highly adept at magic and took up residence to the west and northwest of Crossroads over a millenium ago.

Human:
The ubiquitously self destructively barbariac race to which we all belong. Humans were the race to create the city that now surrounds the Nexus and are constantly doing experiments to find other uses for this energy ribbon.

Rawulf:
These highly intelligent doglike creatures are well liked throughout the universe for their charming personalities and their hands off approach to life. However some Rawulf have become adventurers and decided to put their paws where they don't belong. The Rawulf were brought to Crossroads by the space faring Mook.

Felpur:
Felpurs are much like Rawulf in all respects except one, they are cats not dogs. They come from the same planet and have peacefully coexisted with the Rawulf for millenia and had no contact with any outsiders until the arrival of the Mook.

Mook:
The Mook are an ancient monkeylike space faring race that uses a masterful mix of both technology and of magic. The were the second to harness the teleportation of the Nexus but many suspect that they have found other uses for this energy ribbon.

Fairy:
Fairies are a highly magical species that were scattered throughout the universe and throughout many other universes when their sun went super nova. Fairies come in all shapes and sizes in all manners of terrain. Their evolution since they have been separated has created a vast variety between fairies so no firm generalizations can be made.

Zerg:
These foul beasts were originally a weapon created by the humans to remove a rebelion, but things got terribly out of hand. Zerg are highly disliked but not severely hated. Zerg rarely travel alone unless they have a beneficial or detrimental mutation.

Protoss:
These highly technological creatures were the first to use the Nexus as a teleportation device. They warped in buildings, people, anything they needed. But since these things were needed the Protoss are smiled upon as saviors. The Protoss originally found Crossroads on a spacial exploration of the area.

Umpani:
The Umpani highly resemble a rhinocerous in most respects, especially temper. Their knowledge of firearms has made them worthy opponents of everyone except the Protoss. The T'rang are the Umpani's arch rivals and they would immediately tear each other to pieces anywhere outside of Crossroads.

T'rang:
The T'rang are a spiderlike race that leaves a trail of sticky brown goo behind them where ever they go. They are space farers just like the Umpani but use shock rods instead of firearms.

Munk:
The Munk are red robed zealots that would like nothing more than to destroy every blasphemous Dane that ever lived. They have almost every profession imaginable and originate on the planet of Lost Guardia. All of the Races from Lost Guardia gained access to Crossroads thru the aid of the Helazoid.

Rattkin:
The Rattkin have lived in the shadows of Lost Guardia in peace for the history of the planet and are amazing thieves. Their talents are unequaled anywhere and are rarely trusted when they are seen.

Dane:
These tall blue zealots use their mental powers to destroy Munk whenever they get the chance. They often act as psionics but some have been known to take other paths of adventuring.

Gorn:
The Gorn managed to survive on Lost Guardia for the sole reason that they were stronger and larger than anyother race on the planet. These green skinned lizardmen stayed neutral in the Dane/Munk conflicts and that is probably theonly reason they still exist.

Helazoid:
These mysterious technological and magical guardians of Lost Guardia brought all of the races of the planet to Crossroads to prevent their imminent demise in the crossfire of the Umpani/T'rang War.
