I know that there are alot of you out there with no insurance....I KNOW how expensive medications can be, especially if you are on low or fixed income, like I am with SSA. Below you will find addresses and phone numbers to most, if not all, drug manufacturers. You can match the manufacturers of the medications you take by looking at your medication bottle or calling your pharmacist. Also, these are BRAND NAME MEDICATION programs, meaning that you will get the brand name of the medication. So, if you take a generic (and generics can still be VERY expensive) call your pharmacy to see what the brand name is and what the manufacturer is. Then call the numbers below and see if the companies offers a plan for your medications. Usually your meds will be sent to your doctor where you can pick them up. If you qualify, and more often than not you will get a 30 day supply. Keep in mind, if you have private insurance that pays for your medications, you may not qualify, but its worth a try on those medications that aren't covered or if you have reached your yearly maximum for prescriptions. I hope this helps you. I know what a frustrating experience it is to be in need of meds and not have the money to buy them.

U.S.MEDICATION ACCESS PROGRAMS http://www.goodnet.com/~ee72478/enable/medication.htm

PAIN MEDICATION COMPANIES:

For CII meds (like Percocet, MS Contin, Oxycontin) the drugs WILL NOT be sent to your doctor in MOST cases, (although I have heard of some programs that send these CII meds to the doctor or directly to you) but once enrolled in the program, your doctor will be sent cards, like insurance cards, for that medication. You take the card, with the prescription, to the pharmacy, and they process the card like they would a normal insurance card. These cards are usually good for a month's supply at a time, although some doctors will write the prescription for more than you usually take so that you don't need to get a new card each month. NOTE: Not all doctors do this, and not all doctors are willing to enter you into the program because the nature of the medications. One of my doctor's didnt want to even though HE was the one prescribing the meds, and I told him that the meds wouldn't be directly sent to him or me, but that a card would be sent instead that would allow me to get the med at no charge. For drugs that aren't in the CII class, usually a 90 day supply is mailed to your doctor's office for you to pick up.
