Garden of poems

NOTE: The older poems are at the bottom, the newest ones are at the top.

2000: The deeper you go, the darker things become...

Home In Peace - The best description I can think of for this is, cryptic. I don't know where the words came from... but they flowed deep.

We'll See - Sometimes things do end, and they can end badly.

1999: Mostly themed pieces on problems in society

Part 3: Hurt Like Hell - We've all lost faith...

Part 2: Born Innocent - We've all been hurt...

Part 1: Unwanted - We've all been pushed away...

Wisdom - I'm not really sure what brought this poem about. Probably a mix of lethargy and low-grade insomnia. And a general disdain for life.

Mostly Everything - I think I came up with this while listening to the song "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing" by Chris Isaak.

I Am - As Milton said, no man is an island. You cannot scream hypocracy and delusion without hearing the cries in your own ears.

Close My Eyes - I wanted to shut the world away. If only it were this simple.

No Place Like Home - Lack of family values is a very painful, very dangerous, and very real thing in our country, in our world. And most often, it's passed on to the children and spread. It's not too late to learn to love again.

Something Special - When love is the only thing that feels real in your life

I Have Won - If anyone believes there is a worse crime than rape, they obviously have never had it touch their lives. This was written in response to "Take back The Night," an event on my campus promoting rape awareness and prevention. Funny how no one seems to care until you get to know the pain it can cause first hand. I know it. I hope you don't. My prayers go out to every victim. And may you be one of the few who can fight, overcome, and have peace in your heart to say you aren't going to be beaten by it. And then may you have strength to say: "I have Won"

1998: This stuff is... interesting...

Six Degrees - No, not toward Kevin Bacon. But toward true love

Sweet Dreams - For lasting friendship. A request by Elista Adkins

Always - True love abounding
