"I love you." She knew he lied. She'd seen the lipstick.
"I love you too." Returning the lie. He knew. He'd witnessed the disdain in her eyes.
He drove away, smiling. She drank her coffee, grinning.
'He hadn't checked the brakes,' she mused.
'She couldn't taste the poison,' he laughed.
