The Medicaid/Elder Law, Family Trusts & Estate Practice at Mannion & Copani assists families in dealing with two growing areas of concern in our aging American population.  First, we provide extensive services to families organizing the assets of their elderly in order to maximize assets and avoid the potential loss resulting from long term care.  The estate and trust planning that we provide is individually tailored to match the unique needs presented by each client.  In addition, we offer full legal probate services to assist families and friends in administering estate and trust assets expeditiously and correctly.  Our attorneys and support staff understand fully the delicate, personal and emotional nature of dealing with the difficult issues involved in asset preservation planning.

Family Trusts and Estate Planning.   We provide clients with strategies and counsel to help them achieve maximum asset preservation when facing the prospect of the high cost of long term/nursing home care.  After determining the special needs of each client we employ various estate planning devices that best suit the financial and organizational objectives of the client.  Our uniquely experienced attorneys and staff work diligently to remain apace of the ever-changing landscape of Medicaid laws and consistently determine proper strategies in light of recent and continuing changes in the law.

Medicaid Applications.   We assist clients in preparing and presenting Medicaid applications to their county Medicaid offices when their personal circumstances require placement in long term care facilities or nursing homes.  We work closely with clients to take full advantage of their rights under the law and apprise them of the options available to them in regard to asset protection.

Estates and Probate.   We assist clients in all aspects of trust and estate administration.  We work with executors, administrators and trustees to efficiently identify, garner, appraise and distribute estate assets to provide smooth and efficient estate and trust administration.
