Do   You   Think   I'm   Crazy?

February 25, 2001

As I look at people and other people looking at people, I come to wonder why someone can be so loved and so hated all at once.

I love to watch you sleep
Do you think I'm crazy?
With your eyes so gently closed
and peace upon your face
Where ever you are in your dreamland
I can see you're happy
happy to be the you that you are
happy to know the people you know
and love the people you love
Happy to do what you do
Your deep, soothing breaths
bring calmness and trust that what will be, will be
I love to watch you sleep

I love to hear you laugh
Do you think I'm crazy?
The smile that pictures rarely show
furthers the beauty in your face
Your eyes smile, and I smile at the thought
The funnier, the louder, the happier
often at my expense :-)
but I love you when you're happy
...I love you when you're sad
I love to hear you laugh

I love to see you dance
Do you think I'm crazy?
Your marvelous attempts at grace through life
they're welcome as they don't come very often
But you move with a different presence
as you normally would not
I know you're self-conscious
I know your vulnerablity
at moments we all have it
But nobody sees you like I do
I love to see you dance

I love to hear your voice
Do you think I'm crazy?
Strange things, sweet things
and things that make no sense
The way you look in my eyes when you talk
Sencerity or sarcasm
All of them amuse me
they amuse me as do you
I love to hear your voice

I love you
...do you think I'm crazy?
