Heavy

February 21, 2001

There are so many places to misplace yourself.

I'm lost in something
and I'm not sure where
Those dreams you told me to follow
have distracted and altered the senses
I have so long relied
My surroundings were nothing
and are everything now
without being there, there they are
As my eyes become heavy
I go to that place
That place of solitude
where I see your face
My thoughts are lifted to
that place of nothingness
where they roam free
without me
being the wiser
This jumbled dream world
of something old was new
As I smiled at purpose
memories so pure
As my eyes become heavy
I go to that place
That place of solitude
Where I see your face
Relieved breath
calm paralysis
As I know things are safe
Safe alone
Alone and sad
But in a proper place
If I am lost
Which I believe is true
I hope I am found
before my eyes become
too heavy...
As my eyes become heavy
I go to that place
That place of solitude
where I see your face
There is so much to see
and give through these
The unseen hopes
and dreams left unfollowed
though you told me to
because the radio just
played my favorite song

It's you that's killing me. You being you and me loving you for it.

You say it first...

What'cha think?
