Military mail has slowed oversees,
and "any Service Member" letters are no longer accepted
by the United States Postal service. However, Dear Abby, along
with the Department of Defense, has continued the mission of
communicating with Military Personnel by setting up a web site
to write to the Service Members stationed oversees. This is just
one more small way to help the Morale of our Troops overseas.

The Fisher House program is
a unique private-public partnership that supports America's Military
in their time of need. The program recognizes the Special Sacrifices
of our Men and Women in uniform and the hardships of Military
Service by meeting a Humanitarian Need beyond that normally provided
by the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
You can find Fisher Houses in individual
States by going to the Fisher House Foundation on the Internet,
and from Select a Location choose a State and click-on Go. The
locations in that particular State with their mailing addresses,
phone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses are provided.
Send an Email to the Military or Veteran person that you wish
to know about through the Fisher House location information. |
