Translations of the Scrolls


"In blue fire, the final darkness is banished.
In blood, the final price is paid."

Meaning: The power of the Wild Powers, the blue fire, will
expel the darkness. It takes blood to be drawn before a Wild Power may use the fire. Their own blood.

'Four to stand between the light and the shadow,'
There are only four Wild Powers.
'Four of blue fire, power in their blood.'
Each of these four have the power of the blue fire in their blood.
'Born in the year of the blind Maiden's vision;'
All are 17 years old, born when Aradia had her vision.
'Four less one and darkness triumphs.'
If even only one Wild Power dies, or ally's with the Night World, darkness wins.


'One from the land of kings long forgotten;' -- Delos Redfern
The 'land of kings long forgotten' is called the Dark Kingdom. It's where Hunter Redfern's only son, Chervil, ran away to. Chervil actually is the one who started it.


'One from the hearth which still holds the spark;' -- Iliana Harman
The 'hearth which still holds the spark' means the Harman family.


'One from the Day World where two eyes are watching;' -- Jez Redfern
The Day World is the world belonging to the humans. The 'two eyes' spoken of are the sun and the moon. Meaning someone who is from both worlds, Day and Night.


'One from the twilight to be one with the dark.' -- Kierlan Harman
