Thomas married firstly to Elizabeth Macy on 22 October 1832, Wayne Co., Indiana. Elizabeth was born on 26 February 1813, Wayne Co., Indiana, the daughter of Reuben Macy and Lucy Petty. They were listed in the 1840 Wayne Co., Indiana Census. Elizabeth died on 05 June 1843. Their children were:

1. Nancy Cox, born 29 October 1834, Wayne Co., Indiana, married Vestal Stanley on 20 October 1853, Wayne Co., Indiana. Vestal was born on 09 January 1831, Surry Co., North Carolina, the son of Elijah Stanley and Rachel Hutchins. They were listed in the 1860,1870, 1880, and 1900 Dodge, Boone Co., Iowa Census. Vestal died on 02 Feb 1904. Nancy was listed in the 1910 Boone Ward 4, Boone Co., Iowa Census records. Nancy died on 02 September 1916. 3. Reuben Cox, born 16 September 1836, Wayne Co., Indiana, married Martha Dowden on 20 Dec 1861, Sauk Co., Wisconsin.      c. Thomas Cox, born 14 Oct 1868, Sauk Co., WI, married Lillie Mae Mitchell on 12 Jan 1890, NE. Lillie was born on 07 May 1874, WI, the daughter of Charles Mitchell and Laura Bennett. Thomas died on 14 Dec 1847 and Lillie died on 28 Jun 1950. They are buried in the Oaks Cemetery, Valton, Sauk Co., WI. Children: Edward, Jesse and Grace Cox.

     d. Della Mae Cox, born May 1879, Sauk Co., WI, married Hezekiah Murphy Bates on 09 Jul 1895, Sauk Co., WI. Hezekiah was born on 10 Dec 1868, WV, the son of William M. Bates and Nancy Bogess. Della died in 1925 and Hezekiah died on 25 Mar 1945. They are buried in the Oaks Cemetery, Valton, Sauk Co., WI. Children: Albert, Fred, Darwin, Theron, Amy L., and Beulah Bates.

     Thomas married secondly to Rachel Jay on 09 December 1843, Wayne Co., Indiana, the daughter of Patience Jay. Rachel was born on 05 September 1827 in Indiana, the daughter of Patience Jay. They were listed in the 1850 Perry, Wayne Co., Indiana Census, the 1860 and 1870 Des Moines, Boone Co., Iowa Census, and the 1880 Deer Creek, Phillips Co., Kansas Census records. They then migrated to Oregon. Thomas died on 09 July 1895 and is buried in the Wingville Cemetery, Baker Co., Oregon. They were listed in the 1870 Des Moines, Boone Co., Iowa Census, the 1880 Valley, Phillips Co., Kansas Census, the 1900 Meridian, Ada Co., Idaho Census, the 1910 Brownlee, Boise Co., Idaho Census.      b. Ellen "Ella" Cox, born 24 Feb 1869, Boone Co., IA. She married twice. Ella married firstly to John Mills. John was born 23 Jun 1859, MI, the son of John Mills and Louisa DeLano. They divorced. Children: Ella Esme, Olmeta, Fayette, and Roy Mills. Ella married secondly to Edward Gilbert Burnet on 09 May 1923, Boise, Ada Co., ID. Edward was born on 07 Apr 1846, Hamilton Co., OH, the son of Isaac Burnet and he too was previously married. Ella died on 12 Nov 1940, Los Angeles Co., CA.

     c. Fanny May Cox, born 27 Dec 1873, KS, married three times. She married firstly to Jacob A. Clemons on 12 Feb 1893, Ada Co., ID. Children: Walter Earl Clemons. Francis Nicholas Taylor on 20 May 1896, Silver City, Owhee Co., ID. Francis was born in Apr 1896, England, the son of Samuel Taylor and Elizabeth Whitley. They divorced. Fanny married lastly to Walter Hazelhurst. Fanny died on 22 Nov 1925, Multnomah Co., OR.

     d. Emery Claude Cox, born 07 Aug 1878, Phillips Co., KS, died on 11 Jan 1914, Ada Co., ID. He is buried in the Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise, Ada Co., ID.

     e. Walter Charlie Cox, born 24 Feb 1881, Phillips Co., KS, married twice. He married firstly to Anna May Devore, on 25 Sep 1909, Malheur Co., Oregon. Anna was born on 14 Oct 1884, PA, the daughter of George Devore and Susan Mort. Anna died on 07 Apr 1920 and is buried in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa Co., ID. Children: Charlotte and Anna Cox. Stanley died on 08 May 1976 and Lillian died on 08 Sep 1983. They are buried in the Kirwin Cemetery, Kirwin, Phillips Co., KS. Children: Leslie, Morris, Carol and Freda Cox.

     c. Fannie Cox, born 09 Jun 1894, Phillips Co., KS, married Oscar Joseph Townley. Oscar was born on 30 Jul 1886, Kirwin, Phillips Co., KS, the son of William H. Townley and Mary Gray. Fannie died on 20 Jul 1997 and Oscar died on 05 Oct 1963. They are buried in the Kirwin Cemetery, Kirwin, Phillips Co., KS. Children: Dorothy and Leland Townley.

10. Anna Cox, born 12 February 1850 , Phillips Co., Kansas, married Samuel Gladden Gibbons on 21 August 1869, Boone Co., Iowa. Samuel was born 17 May 1839, Ohio, the son of George W. Gibbons and Frances Ford. Anna died on December 1872. Samuel remarried and died on 09 February 1924. They are buried in the Bass Point Cemetery, Bass Point, Boone Co., Iowa. Their children were:

     a. Thomas Gladden Gibbons, born 02 Dec 1872, Dodge, Boone Co., IA., married Sarah Ella "Ella" McKindie on 28 Nov 1896, Boone Co., IA. Ella was born on 07 Jul 1880, Boone Co., IA, the daughter of William McKindie and Margaret Mayfield. Thomas died on 22 Jul 1956 and Ella died in Dec 1975. Children: Gladys D. Gibbons.

11. Elizabeth Cox, born 18 February 1852 , Boone Co., Iowa, married John Butler 09 April 1870, Boone Co., Iowa. Roy was born on 03 Feb 1886, OR, the son of Jeremiah Baisley and Mildred Peyton. Roy died on 10 Mar 1913 and is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Baker City, Baker Co., OR. Children: Blake Baisley. She married secondly to Harrison Pearson on 04 Jun 1919, Morrow Co., OR. Harrison was born on 18 May 1873, Putnam Co., MO, the son of William Pearson and Almira Shanklan.      b. Harry Thomas Boyd, born on 12 Aug 1894, Baker Co., OR, married twice. He married firstly to Hazel Fitzgerald. Hazel was born in 1896, Clackamas Co., OR. Harry married secondly to Josephine Rose Mahaney. Josephine was born on 09 Aug 1898, SD, the daughter of Patrick Mahaney and Louise Wright. Harry died on 04 Sep 1957 and Josephine died on 12 Feb 1999. They are buried in the Olney Cemetery, Pendleton, Umatilla Co., OR. Children: Virgil and Billy Boyd.

  Phoebe married secondly to David Obediah Bounds. David was born on 10 November 1854 in Missouri, the son of William Bounds and Nancy Tweedy.
