Nathan married secondly to Susanna King. Susanna was born 1805 in North Carolina according to her headstone. The 1830 Census gives us her birth range of 1801-1810, and the 1850 Census states she was born 1811 (the latter two Census records are more feasible). Also going with these variances it opens her paternal line up to more possibilities: Joseph King, Samuel King, Jr., Benjamin King and William King. Many years ago a distant cousin had told me that he thought that Susanna might be the daughter of William Rufus King. To this day I am still looking for any kind of proof. She did name her oldest son William. Nathan and his family were also listed in the 1830 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census records, the 1840 Buncombe Co., North Carolina, Northern Division Census records, pg. 184, the 1850 Buncombe Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 283, household 1042. Susanna was not listed in the rest of Nathan's Census records. Where did she go? Did the separate? Did the divorce and she remarry? In any case I cannot find her after that Census. Can anyone tell me? Nathan was listed in the 1860 Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 329, household 473, and the 1870 Marshall, Madison Co., North Carolina Census records, pg. 414, household 80, living with his daughter Julia Ann and James Roberts. Nathan at one time owned his own Grist Mill. Nathan died in 1870 and Susanna supposedly died in 1885. They are buried in the Old Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina. Henry died in 1902 and Louisa died on 03 Aug 1934. She is buried in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, Spartanburg Co., South Carolina. Priscilla was born ca Apr 1853, NC, the daughter of Evan Roberts and Isabella Goforth. Here is the story on James. He and Priscilla are listed in the 1880 Madison Co., NC Census, he was then listed in the 1900 Greene Co., Tennessee census with Laura (Stills). That census states that they were married 7 years, but I have not been able to find the marriage license yet. Priscilla was listed in the 1900 census as divorced in Madison Co., NC. In 1910 we find James and Priscilla back together in Madison Co., NC, with his and Laura's two children, note: Priscilla had two children of her own, Pearl and Columbus. And finally by themselves in the 1920 Madison Co., NC census. Priscilla died on 03 Dec 1921. James married Laura Caldwell on 11 Apr 1932 in Cocke Co., Tennessee (not sure if this is the same Laura or not). According to his son Conley's Death Certificate, Garrison Davis and Ruth Roberts were his parents. On Oma's Death Certifcate it states her father Garrison, but no mother. On his son Oliver's Death Certifciate (son from second marriage) it states his parents were Garrison and Ernestine Ezell "Parker". Note: Oliver was born 4 years before Oma. Children with Ruth Roberts: Conley Henderson and Oma Elizabeth Davis. Garrison married second to Ernestine Ezell, born 1877, North Carolina. She married second to J. Parker and migrated to Knoxville, Knox Co., Tennessee. According to the 1900 Cherokee Co., NC census Garrison and Ernestine were marred in 1898. Children: Oliver Burton and Ethel Davis. 7. Harriet Woody Worley, born: 22 February 1837, died: 06 May 1934. She married George Washington Buckner on 29 June 1861 in Madison Co., North Carolina. George was born: 09 December 1834 in North Carolina, the son of Tatum Buckner and Martha Patsey Sprinkle. Margaret Emeline Worley, born 14 May 1872, Madison Co., NC, died 20 Oct 1942, Buncombe Co., NC. She married John Landers, born Mar 1861, NC. d. Jacob Andrew Worley, born 14 Aug 1877, Madison Co., NC. He married Rachel Louella "Louella" Henderson on 30 Nov 1895, Cocke Co., TN. Luella was born on 30 Aug 1879, Cocke Co., TN, the daughter of William Henderson and Frankie Waddell. Jacob died on 22 Feb 1954, and Luella died on 13 Aug 1961. They both are buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., NC. He married first to Harriet Matilda "Matilda" Martin on 30 January 1860 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina. Matilda was born in 1839, the daughter of William and Martha Martin. Their children were: a. Humphrey Posey Worley, born 01 Mar 1861, NC. He married Sally _____. Humphrey died 22 Feb 1920. b. Lucinda E. Worley, born Jul 1864, NC. She married Erwin Houston Chambers on 23 Nov 1884 in Swain Co., NC. Erwin was born Nov 1864, Tennessee, the son of John Chambers and Nancy Welch, died before 1910. Children: George L., Henry Walton, Leona M., Bonnnie Lynn, Flossie Gertrude, and Lacy Houston Chambers. c. William Franklin Worley, born 13 Mar 1866, NC. He married Laura Worley on 24 Dec 1885 in Madison Co., NC. Laura was born on 06 Jan 1868 the daughter of Adolphus Phillip "Amos" Worley and Sarah Ann Roberts. Elizabeth was previously married to James Madison "Matt" Davis, son of Joseph Minzy "Minzy" Davis and Lucretia Roberts McPheters. Elizabeth died on 25 December 1924, and is buried in the Worley Cemetery, Lower Big Pine, Madison Co., North Carolina. David and Elizabeth had one daughter: f. Arry Worley, born ;Unknown. 11.
