We drive again through a fantastic scenery to Sparti to visit Mistras. We parked the car at the top
close to the fortress en then entered the park where we walked
around for some 2.5 hours. It was quit heavy because of all the
stairs. Everything was interesting, a lot was restaured, houses
and a lot of wall-paintings.
After the lunch we had close to Mistras we drove a long way to Monemvasia. It is a very nice small
walled-in village with narrow streets and stairs. Mostly
touristic shops, hotels and samll restaurants/bars. All very cosy
and pleasant.
After again a lon drive we arrive at Gythio and stay there in a
good hotel right at the harbour. We have a big 4-persons room,
with for the first time a double bed. Unfortunately it becomes
again quit crowded on the street, so getting to sleep is not that
easy.
