DR. KNOCKBOOT

PRODUCED BY: TRACKMASTERS
Whoa! The only disappointment was that this "song" is actually a two-minute interlude in which Dr. Knockboot aka Mr. Jones, himself, drops science on the niggas so that they know the proper moves to get the kitty kat. The Dave Matthews' Band funky-ass sample makes this jam a definite college party starter. Niggas-"DO hit positions she'll find interesting"; "DON'T lie about the cars you got/ fronting bout who you hang with when you borrowed your watch" LOL; "DO get a yes confirmation/ Before penetration". The Doctor has spoken.

PRODUCED BY: L.E.S.
I'm feeling the wanna-be Spanish guitar on the production lukewarmly but NAS and DMX flowing 'bout creeping on a come-up is exceptional. It was refershing to hear Dark Man X without the leash and on some much needed valiums. But for some reason the track seemed much shorter than the official 4:04 minutes to me.

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT (FEATURING DMX)

BIG THINGS

PRODUCED BY: ALVIN WEST
Producer Alvin West jacks the theme from "Mahogany" to provide the back up on this one. The production is nice... but it ain't NAS. This is some Jigga B-side shit and on top of that, NAS is on some uncharacteristic booty-rap speed rapping shit. Okay, I admit I had earlier dissed the LP's lack of versatility so I should cut this one some slack but NAS sounds uncomfortable here. In an event to keep pace with the drum machine, NAS drops questionable lyrics like: "Why ain't came out/ Where your click now/ where you sit now/ in the back seat/ mad cuz I flip styles". HUH?
