Dave Ornauer's, Stripes Sports Editor, prediction for this weekend's game against the Yongsan Raiders:

"It'll be a reversal of fortune for the Raiders, whose only two losses last years came at the Dragons' hands. Willie Combs and Co. will finally have their day..."

Raiders Shut Out Dragons, 38 - 0

Minutes before kick-off, Seoul American High School student Kirk Parks predicted a Dragons’ victory. Instead the Yongsan Dragons lost for the third straight time as they were held scoreless by the Yongsan Raiders, 38 - 0 at Lombardo Field last Saturday.

With the music and the smell of food coming from the Columbus Day celebration, the Raiders (4-0) clearly came to play. With effective run and pass schemes that seemed to confuse the Dragons’ defense, the Raiders scored with relative ease on their first three possessions and commanded a 30-0 lead at half-time.

In the second half, the Raiders, taking advantage of the "Fast clock" rule, kept the ball on the ground eating away at the clock. In any event, the Dragons (1-3) could no more effectively move the ball in the second half as in the first. Seldom crossing midfield, the Dragons made only three serious runs toward the endzone.

"Finally," said Jack Violette of the Raiders. "It’s the first time we’ve won after 5 years of playing."

The Dragons will have a chance for vindication with a re-match against the Raiders this Saturday at Lombardo Field at 1300.
