Dedicants
Dedicants are people who have expressed more than just a passing interest in Paganism, and who may be interested in joining Silver Web Coven.
Dedicants are encouraged to attend rituals, and there will be required courses for those seeking initiation into Silver Web Coven.
The Dedicant studies with the coven until the members of The Synod feel that s/he is ready for initiation.
At this point they are still not full members of the coven, but are working toward possible initiation.
The Dedication Vow
I, (name), in the presence of the Old Gods, the Guardians of the Towers, and the members of Silver Web Coven, pledge to devote myself to the study of the Old Religion.
So Mote It Be.
After taking the Vow, Dedicants will place {Ded} before their names to indicate that they have taken a vow to study the Old Ways.
