When Jesus ascended, He gave gifts unto men.
He gave them to all who would be born again.
Oh, wonder of wonders that He has restored
them,
The apostolic ministries,
The nine gifts of the Spirit,
And the elders and the deacons that He gave
unto men.
He gave them unto us that we might all be
one,
In the unity of faith and the unity of doctrine.
He gave them unto us until our race is run,
Till we reach the full stature of the Son.
