In order for you to copy text, you must first highlight it. This is done in a number of ways. One way is to use the command listed above "Highlight All." This, however, forces you to copy every word of text on a certain page. Here is the alternative:

First, find the first word of the text you want to copy.
Then, hit the "find" button on your keyboard and type in that word. Your unit will now highlight that word for you. If the word you typed in appears more than once on the page, you may have to hit cmd + G until it highlights the one you want to copy.
Now, hold down the shift button and keep hitting the right arrow key until you have completely highlighted all that you want to copy.
Now, just copy it using the command listed above and paste it where you want it.
