Sadie Wease's father was Absalom Wease. Absalom L. Weese married Mary White on 08 Jul 1877 in Pike County, Indiana. The Wease family came from that part of Hampshire County, Virginia which became Hardy County in 1786 (This area is now in West Virginia). The Wease families in Pike and Knox Counties were descendants of Philip and Anny Wease. They were in Greene County, KY by 1810 where they appear on a tax list. By 1810, they were near the current site of Petersburg, Indiana when John Wease married Polly Jerrold/Jerrell. Philip, John, and David Wease voted in an election for sheriff in Madison Township (now in Pike County), Knox County, Indiana Territory on Feb. 8, 1812. By elimination, the parents of Absalom are believed to be Job Wease and Rachel Harbison. They were married in Pike County on 08 Sept 1817.

Sadie preceeded John Wesley in death. After his death, it is my understanding by word-of-mouth, that he kicked the two boys out. They were about 13 and 11 years of age at the time. Neighbors came and got the girls and their belongings. The girls were raised under a different family name and lost contact with the Adams family until later in life.
