After the adults left the house, Travis asked Anna, "So, do you have any good movies?" "I don't know. What do you call good?" Then Brad came over and said, "How about Suicide Night?" "Oh yeah! That movie's kolobo!" Travis exclaimed. (A.N. You probably haven't heard of that movie because we made it up. Remember, we're 20 yearrs into the future!) "Are you sure you want to watch that?" Anna asked. "Yeah. I love that movie. What's the matter? Is it too scary for you?" "No," Anna explained, "It's just, I've seen it so many times." Brad put the disk into the DVD and the movie started on the projection TV in the game room. "I'll go make some popcorn," Anna said, getting up. Meanwhile, at the restaurant, Taylor, Stephanie, Beth, and Nick were the last ones there. The waiter led them to the huge table where everyone was sitting. They sat at four empty spots in the middle of the table (Two on each side of the table). "We were wondering when you were going to get here. How are you Beth?" Diana asked. "I'm fine, and you?" Beth asked, politely. "I'm good. Oh, this must be Nick!" Diana said, looking at Nick. "Yes it is," Nick replied. "Well, it's nice to meet you," Diana continued. "It's nice to meet you too." Then Walker asked, "So what kind of job do you have?" "I'm an lawyer," Nick said. "Oh that's a good job. I once knew a man who was an lawyer, he was the most-" Walker started. "Dad, not another story," Zac pleaded. "Oh fine," Walker agreed. "And what do you do, Beth?" Diana asked. "Well . . ." Beth said nervously, "Actually, I'm a sky-diving instructor." "Kolobo," Zac said. (A.N. Kolobo is kinda like cool. It's a Beth Word.) "Interesting." Was all that Diana could say. Then the waiter came and took everyone's order. They talked for a little while longer about anything. Then their food came, and everyone started eating without much talking. Back at the house, the video was just getting to the good part when Ryan came into the rec room. "Why is there a girl in our living room?" Ryan asked, "She's not suppost to be here." "I better go wake her up," Travis said, getting up and walking into the living room. "Why can't Abby be in the living room?" Anna asked. "Because, she's a girl and girls have cooties!" Ryan answered. "Yeah, whatever Ryan," Anna said through a laugh. "I'm going over to Charlie's house," Brad said, getting up. "No, you're not." "And why not?" "Because I said so. Now go bug Brooke." "Don't you think I ever get bored of that. I'm going to Charlie's!" Brad said, as he walked out the door. Ryan also left the room when he saw Travis bring Abby into the room. Travis dropped her onto the couch and went upstairs to where Mikiah and Brooke were playing Barbies. "C'mon Mikey, you wanna watch 'Suicide Nights'?" Travis asked. "Mom and Dad said that I'm too young to see that movie." "Well, Mom and Dad aren't here, are they?" So Mikiah and Brooke cleaned up and went down stairs to watch the movie.
At the resteraunt, everyone was finished with their meal and were just talking. "So Beth, where were you all this time?" Zac asked. "The people that took me lived in Idaho. Now, you think Oklahoma's hickville, but you haven't seen hickville until you see Idaho." (A.N. No offense to anyone living in Oklahoma or Idaho.) "How come you only remember some of us?" Isaac asked. "There's this thing that people get when they hit their head really hard. It's called, amnesia, and you only remember things in flashbacks." Beth said sarcastically. "Now there's the Beth I know! Now all you have to do is hit me in the head, spit something, throw some food, or get really hyper and it will be fun times," Zac said. "Fun times may occur," Beth then said seriously. "You are Beth! Cool, welcome back," Kristin said. "Hey, do you remember the time you put green jello in my shoes?" Zac asked. Beth looked down, then back up and said, "Didn't you start eating it or something?" Allison gave Zac a distcusted look. "Yeah. Remember that time when we traded rooms with you guys and then we found out that there was a bright light shinning in there. You just let Zac sleep in your room and not all of us?" Taylor asked. "Zachary! You slept in the girls' room at that age?!" Diana exclaimed, shocked. "Hey, I slept on the floor. They wouldn't let me sleep in a bed." "Oh, what about the time Ike brought drugs in the house?" Kate suggested. "Yeah, and he didn't even get grounded. Just a big lecture!" Kristin blurted out. "How did you know he didn't get grounded?" Walker asked. "Oops!" "Kristin!" Zac said. "I think . . . Weren't we sitting at the top of the stairs?" Beth then said. "See, you do remember," Avery said. "So now we find out we have really nosey kids," Diana said, "What else do you know?" "Ooh," Beth blurted out, ignoring all conversation, "What about the time Tay hit his head on the diving board?" "I remember that, and then we had to put his necklaces back together," Kate said. "I don't remember that," Beth said. "You don't remember that?! You're the one who came up with it," Kristin said, surprised. "I remember the headache I had from that," Taylor said. "I also remember sneaking out of the house that one night," Beth said. "Do you remember what happened later that night in a certain tree?" Zac asked, in a weird voice with a smirk on his face.. "What would I be doing in a tree?" Beth asked, questionably. "Oh, I don't know. I can't believe you don't remember that!" Zac exclaimed. "Remember what?" Beth asked. Right after she said that, Kate made kissing noises, and Taylor's face turned bright red. Beth's mouth opened wide, she didn't notice Taylor's face, and said surprised, "With who?!" Everyone started laughing excep Beth, and Stephanie. Stephanie wasn't laughing because she didn't like the topic they were on. "Gosh Beth, even I know that," Walker said. Beth was still confused and said, "I didn't even know I had a boyfriend. Who was he?" Nobody was saying enything because they were laughing too hard. Beth took a drink from her water right when Isaac yelled. "It was Taylor!" Beth started choking on her water. By this time, Kristin, Kate, Zac, and Isaac were practically on the floor laughing. Eventually, everybody stopped laughing and went on to other subjects.
Back at the house, it was going on ten o'clock, and Brad still wasn't home from his friends house. Anna was getting really mad that he wasn't home yet. So she decided to call over to their house. "Hello?" A woman answered. "Hi," she said, "this is Anna Hanson, Brad's sister. Is he over there?" "Hold on a minute please." Then Brad came on the other line, "Hello?" "Brad, get home now! You know your curfew is 9:30." "So what?! Maybe I don't want to come home." "I don't care if you do or don't. Just get home," Anna said. "I'll be home around 11:00," he said and then hung up. "Uh! That boy is so impossible," she said mainly to herself, but turned around to have Travis behind her. "Chill out," he said. "Anna walked past him, and back into the game room, and sat on the couch. As soon as she sat down, Brooke asked, "Can we have some ice cream sundaes?" "Sure, go a head, you probably wouldn't listen to me anyway." Brooke and Mikiah both ran towards the kitchen to get their sundaes. Travis walked in the room after they left. "What's wrong with you?" he asked. "Nothing," she answered. "Oh, o-kay then," he said, sitting down next to her. "It's just he drives me crazy. He doesn't listen to anyone, except sometimes to my parents," Anna blurted out. "I thought nothing was wrong," Travis said. "Well, it is," she said, facing him, "Don't I know you from somewhere?" "I don't think so." "What school do you go to?" "Fairview Middle School," he answered. "So do I! I knew I've heard your name before!" "You have? From who?" "My friends always talk about you, but I never knew who you were." "They say good things, don't they?" Travis asked questionably. "Oh yeah. Really good things." "Like what?" "I don't know, like 'he's the cutest boy', or 'he's so sweet'," Anna replied, "Oh gosh! I probably shouldn't of told you that." Travis's face was red with embarrassment. "I really shouldn't have told you that. Now just don't go and tell my friends that I told you. My parents always said I had a big mouth." "I don't even know who your friends are," he replied. "Oh. Well they sure know you!" "Well if they know me so well, then maybe we'll see each other in the halls or something." "Yeah, maybe," Anna agreed. Then a few minutes later, she asked, "Do you want to play a game?" "Sure, I guess. What are we going to play?" "There's this one game that we have, but its kind of old. It's fun though." "What's it called?" Travis asked. "It's called Phase 10. It's a card game," Anna answered. "Ok, go get it." Anna went into the closet that was on the other side of the room, and took out a small box. She went back to where she was sitting and started showing Travis how to play. He caught on quickly. When they were on the second phase, Mikiah and Brooke came back into the room. "Watcha playin'?" Mikiah asked. "Phase 10," Anna answered. "What's that?" she asked. "A game, now stop bugging us," Travis said. "Can we play?" Brooke asked. "No," Anna answered quickly. "Why?" Mikiah asked. "Because we already started," Travis answered. "Please," Brooke begged. "No!" Travis and Anna yelled in unison. "Ok, fine. We'll go upstairs," Brooke said, walking out the door with Mikiah following her. About a half hour later, at 11 o'clock, the game was over and Travis had won. "That's a pretty cool game," Travis said. "I like it too, but it's only fun when you have someone who actually understands how to play it. Brad doesn't catch on to things that easily." Over the next hour, they ended up playing five games of pool, Anna won all of them. "So pools not my game," Travis said, smiling. "I guess not," Anna replied, "I'm going to go check on the kids." Anna went upstairs, and found Ryan asleep in his bed. Then she went into Brooke's bedrooms, and found that they had both fallen asleep on the floor. She went back down stairs. "Do you have a blanket? Abby looks kind of cold," Travis said, pointing to the little girl on the love seat. "Yeah, just a minute." Anna went to the closet again, and got a blanket out. Just as Travis was putting it around Abby, Brad walked in the door. "Where were you?" Anna asked, going towards the door. "Where do you think I was?" Brad replied in a harsh voice. "Gosh Brad, what's wrong with you lately? You're being such a jerk!" "Well its not my fault I have annoying brothers and sisters that I hate," he yelled and ran up the stairs to his room. "Boy, what's wrong with him?" Travis asked. "I don't know. He's always like that. He gets in these moods and goes crazy." "Oh," Travis replied. "I think I need some fresh air," Anna said. "Good idea." Anna and Travis went outside on the porch, and sat in the swing.
