Kristin Dupre pulled over to the side of the road on her way home from work. She rolled the window down, and grabbed the mail, then turned into the drive way of her house in San Antonio. As she walked into her house, she set the mail down on the stairs, took off her shoes, and hung her coat in the front closet. She picked up the mail and walked up the stairs to search for her children. She found them playing happily in their bedrooms with the baby-sitter, Vanessa. "Thanks for coming over today, Vanessa. It helped a bunch. Are you free tomorrow too?" Kristin asked. "Sure, I'll pick them up from school on my way home. Is that ok?" Vanessa answered. "Sounds good. See you tomorrow than." "Bye, guys! See you tomorrow!" Vanessa called over her shoulder as she left. "Bye, Nessa!" The children chorused. Kristin left the kids to play, and took the mail into the living room to read. "Hmmm, let's see what we have in here today. Bills, bills, more bills, re-subcribtion to Parents, a Have You Seen Me, a letter from Minnesota," Kristin read out load as she sifted through the mail. "What's this?" she asked herself as she picked up the notice from Minnesota. She tore it open, and read it.
A tear slide down Kristin's cheek as the door slammed. "Jake, is that you?" Kristin called in a qwivering voice. "Yeah, what's wrong?" Jake asked, noticing she sounded like she was crying. He walked up the stairs, and sat down on the couch next to his wife. Kristin put her head on his shoulder and started crying. "Shhhh, it's ok. I want to help, but I can't until I know what's bothering you." Kristin sat up and handed him the notice. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry," Jake said as he hugged Kristin again, as she started sobbing.
"Oh my gosh! I wonder who else knows yet. Kate, Zac, Ike, Taylor! I've got to call Taylor, he's probably really upset. He really took it hard when Beth died," Kristin cried jumping up, then frantically searching for her address book.
