Kristin rang the doorbell and Zac answered. "Hi . . . Kristin . . . it's good to see ya again." "Good to see you too . . . Zac . . . right?" Kristin asked, as they gave each other a hug. "Yeah, it's Zac." Just then, Stephanie came to the door. "Hi, I'm Stephanie, Taylor's wife," Stephanie said, introducing herself. Kristin introduced herself. "I was just about to suprise Tay's kids and pick them up at school. Why don't you come to," Zac suggested. So Zac and Kristin got into Stephanie's car and drove to the school. On the way, they told each other about their careers and families, then they saw Taylor's children. Zac laid on the horn to get their attention, but ended up scaring them all to death. They got into the car and they went out for ice cream, as Kristin introduced herself.
Mean while, Stephanie was cleaning up the house when Taylor walked in. "Hi," he said. Stephanie didn't say anything, just kept to her work. He started talking, but Stephanie wasn't listening. He went over to her, and gently lifted her head so she was looking at him. A tear slid down Stephanie's cheek. "Steph, I'm really sorry I blew up at you earlier. It's just that I didn't know what to do. I didn't mean anything I said and I'm glad you're my wife. Please, forgive me. I'm really sorry," Taylor pleaded. "Taylor, I forgive you, and I love you. But that really hurt. When you said that, I thought you wanted a divorce," Stephanie sobbed, "How do I know you'll never do that again?" "You have my word." "That doesn't count." "If I do that again, you can . . . smack me. As hard as you want, right across the face," Taylor said, knowing that would make her laugh. "I'm not going to hit you," Stephanie laughed. Taylor gave her a hug, and helped her finish cleaning.
The doorbell rang, and Taylor ran to get it. He opened it to see Kate standing on the front porch. "Oh, I thought it was somebody important. We have no room for you, but there's a hotel down the road," Taylor said, jokingly. "Don't you know who I am?" Kate asked, not getting the joke. "You're Kate, now go away," Taylor replied. "Ok, if you say so," Kate started to turn around and walk down the sidewalk to a cab. "No wait! I was just kidding!" Taylor exclaimed. So Kate came back, went into the house, and met Stephanie. A while later, Isaac came. They all greeted each other, then, around 4, Zac and Kristin returned with all of Tay's kids. They all greeted each other and started talking. About 18 minutes later Anna came into the living room. "Oh! Mom and Dad, there's a new girl at school, Emily, she's coming over at 4:30 to work on science. But her mom wants to meet you first, before she let's her daughter stay, kay?" Anna asked. "Anna, we have company over, tonight's not going to work," Stephanie said seriously. "I forgot, but she's coming over in 20 minutes. I can't cancel now." "Well, I guess it's alright then, just stay upstairs."
Taylor was playing Candy Land with Brook and Ryan, while Zac tried to beat Brad at Nintendo, and Kate and Kristin were helping Stephanie make dinner. The doorbell rang, and Anna quickly ran down stairs to answer it. Stephanie met her at the door. "Op, the doorbell, games over!" Zac said quickly, as he got up and went to the door before Brad could rub it in that Zac had lost for the fifth game in a row. Stephanie introduced herself, while Zac just kinda stood there, looking at Emily's mom, thinking. "Gol, why does she look so familiar?" Zac thought to himself. "Hi, I'm Stephanie, Anna's mom," Stephanie said. "Hello, I'm Lindsay," Emily's mom introduced herself. "Taylor come and met Lindsay," Stephanie called. "I'm in the middle of Candy Land," Taylo called back, "and I'm winning!" Zac went into the room where Tay was. "Tay, I think you really want come meet her," Zac said, as he and Taylor walked into the entry way and stopped in their tracks. "Tay, this is Lindsay . . . Smith," Zac continued. "Actually, it's Lindsay Fox now, but how did you know who I was?" "Do you remember this, 'Hi, we're Hanson'," Zac asked. "Ah, gosh. How long has it been?" Lindsay asked. "20 years today," Isaac said, walking into the entry way. "I would really love to stay and chat, but I have to pick up my husband at the airport," Lindsay said, and she left. She got into her car, and started crying. Anna and Emily went upstairs to work on their science , and the kids, Stephanie, Kristin, and Kate went upstairs to talk. A little while later, downstairs the three brothers were having their own conversation. "Taylor, it's not my fault she died, you know that I would've died if she could have lived," Isaac said. "Well, if you would've swerved the other way, you would've been dead," Taylor yelled back. "Well, if you wouldn't have told her to sit in the front by you, you'd be dead!" Zac joined in. "Well, at least that would've been better that to have her die!" Taylor replied.
