Oct. 26 Garner Radio Music Awards Nomination for "Artist of the Year & Pop Alternative Radio." The Band Will Present an Award During November Live Telecast Warner Bros. recording artists the Goo Goo Dolls have received a Radio Music Awards nomination for "Artist of the Year & Pop Alternative Radio." The nomination acknowledges the success of the band's triple-platinum-plus album, DIZZY UP THE GIRL which includes the hit songs, "Iris," "Slide," "Dizzy," "Black Balloon" and "Broadway." Last year, "Iris" won for "Pop Song of the Year." The Radio Music Awards nominations are based on radio airplay and voted on by a 600 member academy comprised of top radio programmers and music directors. ABC Television will broadcast the show live from the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas on November 4th. Goo Goo Dolls members John Rzeznik, Robby Takac and Mike Malinin will attend the live telecast and will also present an award.

Oct. 18 Daily Goo message from the Goo Goo Dolls: "Due to the tragic plane accident last evening that took the life of Governor Mel Carnahan of Missouri, his son and an aide outside of Kansas City, the rally in KC has been postponed. . .we have moved the show to a Gore/Lieberman rally in Flint Michigan on Wednesday evening (tonight) . . . It'll be held at the University of Michigan at Flint. . .in the parking lot of the University Pavillion on Saginaw Street between 1st and Kearnsley. . .it's free . . . gates open at 5:30. . . .and everyone's welcome to attend. . .hope to see you there."

Oct. 17 On Wednesday October 18th the Goos will be performing at a Gore/Lieberman rally in Kansas City MO. They'll be attending the debates in St. Louis on Tuesday and then heading off to KC the next morning to do a concert for more info here is the latest Press Release.
