2/25.9/03 - Alan Colmes' new show ok. I only heard the first few minutes of the first show, but it seemed centered and didn't lean too far one way or the other. Maybe that comes tonight. Anyway, it's on KFMB 760 AM in San Diego, Mon-Fri, 7-10p. I can hear it ok in L.A., but you may have to move the radio and/or antenna to find a better location. The station's site is www.760kfmb.com/.
2/25.8/03 - "News/talk stations are scoring high in the first Arbitrends — and we’re not even at war yet." So says www.insideradio.com/, but the L.A. numbers don't look that way. See the 2/22.4/03 Flash.

2/24.12/03 - Chinese station KMRB 1430 AM is 'non-brokered'. But, their statement, "Sinocast is a non-brokered Chinese radio station in Los Angeles, which means we own our broadcast and tower facilities" isn't quite technically correct. Their next sentence, "So unlike other Asian radio groups, we don't buy airtime from other stations" helps to correct the situation. More at www.am1430.net/about/about.htm. Their site is mostly in Chinese.

2/24.2/03 - "KFI misses "breaking news" with the Saturday earthquake" is a headline at www.laradio.com. It snuck into L.A. like 4 or 5a, and most slept through it. However, KFI once had about the best on-the-hour and on-the half-hour radio news, but the quality of their news does seem to be going down hill? Like, on weekends do they just repeat the same news, over and over?

See today's numbers, winter 2003, phase 1 of 3, at www.radioandrecords.com/Subscribers/ratings/homepage.htm, and pick L.A., market #2.
2/21.13/03 - KNX Drama Hour, daily, 9-10p (except Wed 10-11p) and 2-3a, KNX 1070 AM. "Gunsmoke" is one of the better westerns. "The Shadow," even with Orson Wells, is only ok at best.
