Bills end season 8-8

Bills lost games on the road and lost games on road. Squishing the Fish was very satisfying but game came too close vs. limping Chargers and Bungles shouldn't be much effort any ways. Buffalo absolutely punished the Packers; they were so beat up they were no challenge for Jets and collapsed vs. Falcons.

Squish the Fish!

November has not been a good month for the Bills - the Bills are lucky that they only had three games this month. Travis Henry has learned not to fumble the ball but unfortunately the rest of the offense has gone to sleep and the defense, if they continue their performance, will break the Bills record for most points scored against in season! The Bills need to stop making mistakes - both players and coaches - and put on the field whomever will most likely help win not necessarily whom knows thegenius's system.

The season isn't over yet

Clobber the Chiefs!

The Bills have been better than expected but like growing teenagers they go thru growth spurts where one part is on track and another is not. Week 1 the special teams were terrible. The offense carries the Bills for a few games but sputters with the defense surprisingly taking up the slack. Against the Patriots, all three teams had problems and we were blown out at home and Drew was embarrassed in front of his old team.

This week all three teams will need to be working in order to Clobber the Chiefs, another team which is rising from the basement of the NFL!

It is time for a team firing on all cylinders

Remember there are new Jills as well as new Bills

Every year while we are concentrating on the new Bills players we often forget that they are some new Jills as well who work as hard as the Bills do for the Western New York Community. So next time you are thinking of buying something for yourself, a friend, your den or your Bills Bar think about buying a poster or a calendar of our lovely Jills. Let your friends know that you go to Buffalo not just to watch the Bills but the Jills as well.

Jimmy's raises money for Hunter's Hope

Jimmy of Jimmy's Old Town Tavern raffled a signed football given to him by Jim Kelly himself. Jimmy has been hosted a bartender contest the last few weeks and will be attending Hunter's Hope Ball to deliver the money personally.

Good Job Jimmy

If that wasn't Travis Henry's nickname before he was a Bill, it is now. Despite his hard running he can not seem to live up to his POTENTIAL. He seems to have a problem with fumbling so much that teams are concentrating on stripping the ball from him not tackling him - Denver bragged about this. Due to this Henry is costing as many points as he is getting for the Bills. Combine this with his off-field behavior you need to wonder on his designation as #1 running back for the Bills. Yes he scored the TD which beat the Bears in overtime but if not for his mistake overtime may not have been needed.

Potential only goes so far - everyone has to learn from mistakes

Jimbo is in the Hall
and I was there with him

Jim and Marv in yellow Hall of Fame coatsJim Kelly deservedly was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in first year of eligibility for his accomplishments with the Bills and USFL Houston Gamblers and thanks to my favorite Buffalo Bills Blue Coat, Jack Wheeler, I had a front row seat for the parade and induction with the sunburn to prove it. I won a program on the bus raffle from the Jim Kelly induction on the Wall and a number of game tapes. A Hall of Fame pin as well but I gave that to Bills Guard Hunt (#66) in training camp.

If you are ever in need of season tickets, contact Jack.

Training camp - an experience not to miss

For the first time in my life I was able to experience a Buffalo Bills training camp. I was able to attend three sessions, two Monday night sessions and one day session. Training camp was very crowded on Mondays, far more people than the allowed 5000 were there.

The first Monday practice was hot, crowded, slightly disorganized and it poured just when the autograph sessions started ruining all of our autograph books.

The morning session was almost as hot but far fewer people showed up; it was a good opportunity of seeing some of the practice and picking up a few trinkets. I met Josh Reed and was able to get an autograph for a friend.

The second Monday night session was the best. It was cooler and we were able to get there earlier allowing us a good seat for watching practice. I even played one of the game day experience games getting to the 10 yard line before the bungie cord flipped me head over heals. My daughter had the most fun getting at least 40 autographs from the players including Drew Bledsoe who asked her if she wanted her helmet signed when the guy in line next to her (different player line) wasn't paying attention.

Overall it was a great experience, especially if you have kids, and I encourage making a trip some time.

Fun for adults and even MORE fun for kids

Hull will occupy the Wall

Kent Hull, the greatest center to play for the Bills and one of the greatest centers ever, has been selected to be anointed on the Wall of Fame at the Ralph. Congratulations to Kent Hull who followed Jim Kelly from the USFL to Buffalo after playing for three years with the NJ Generals.

Jimbo wins again

Jim Kelly played a flag football game called the Final Showdown at the University of Buffalo. The opposition team was lead by a man named Dan Marino (you might remember him - Kelly led team beats Marino led teams in three consecutive playoff games). Kelly's team won of course - 42-34 - but most importantly the charities they were supporting won.

Squished the Fish again but gently this time - it was a good cause

Tailgate Time Again

It is Buffalo Bills game planning time again. The Bills are planning their strategy for a new season which include former Patriot Drew Bledsoe and "Big Mike" Williams. Jay Rosen (aka Jåy Ró§eñ on the stadium wall) bought tickets for the opener game against the Jersey Jets for TBD crew. Tailgate was great and the game was great except the ending. Check tailgate details on Stadium Wall. Tailgate was held at Hammer's Lot for third consecutive year.

Tailgates don't get any better than this.
