The Confederation Judicial Congress--the interstellar justice of the Confederation with broad decision-making powers.
The Confederation Assault Forces--the interstellar army and marines of the confederation. Some specific types of forces are the Personal Infantry (or PMUs, Personal Mechanized Units), a branch of infantry equipped with suits having impressive mobility and firepower; and the Cybermarines, an elite commando force whose members have special cybernetic weapons and gear installed.
The Confederation Outworld Patrol Service (COPS), or "Interstellar Patrol," a paramilitary police force that is charged with keeping the spacelanes safe for travel and enforcing Confederation interstellar law.
The Confederation Fleet - Spaceborne military forces of the confederation. Not strictly defined.
The Confederate Colonial Authority - A strict bureaucracy that regulates and oversees the colonization of worlds within the Confederacy. They ensure that colonies are managed properly in terms of population, exploitation of resources, city design, and genetic management. This makes the CCA a powerful agency indeed.
The Confederate Security Force - Charged with security operations on behalf of the confederate council and military, the CSF is responsible for counter intelligence, maintaining classified information, and protecting Confederate officials and installations.
The Confederate Headquarters for Espionage and Special Security - A branch of the CSF, CHESS is responsible for covert intelligence gathering and espionage.
