And may I point out, anyone else (stars, budding stars or otherwise) are more than welcome to share their experiences with us!!! Emails to sineadnim@hotmail.com , or else leave messages in the guestbook!!!!! ********************************************************************** Dearest Sinead and all Area 4 fans, Thought I'd drop a line or two to tell you about The Beat on the Street in Tralee.It was the biggest and Bestest yet with the crowd about 50,000 strong. And these people were wet! The heavens had opened as God flushed his Celestial toilet continuously,but it didn't dampen anyones spirits; after all,we were lucky enough to actually headline the show!! It is a breathtakingly busy time for us as we are playing an hour long set at "Flirt" nightclub at the Tivoli on Saturday night (the 28th) and then, le piece de resistence,The Dublin Beat on the Street at 6.30 on Sunday.I believe some band called Westlife will also be performing; I'm sure it will be a night not to be forgotten!! On a personal note I am still girlfriendless so ladies, please keep those E-mails coming in,and I'll pick the best of the bunch and maybe write back...! Dear Sinead, Area 4 fans and Beat on the Street admirers;
This is becoming quite a habit, isn't it? Because the
Dublin Beat
was so successful I thought I might fill you in on the goss from a
backstage point of view.
The show was of course graced by acts such as
Forefront (R&B-Rap),
Reel (trad Irish begorrah),
Dove (hey now etc),
Agnelli & nelson (?)and of course the mighty
Westlife.
It was confirmed at the party after the show that the crowd in the falling light of day was 30,000.
Impressive- and they certainly made their voices heard. It was the
best stage experience of my short life and the crowd received us
excellently for the two songs that we performed. It was hard not to be
overawed at the sheer magnitude of the arrival of Westlife, with
their entourage of stylists, security and management.
We had time for a photo with them as they hurriedly scurried into
their chauffeur driven bus and I ended up chatting to Bryan about
life and music and money. Lovely fella. Phew! I think I've said
enough, any comments about our show or any info you want mail me at
roly.smithers@oceanfree.net
Lots of love and thanks for the support-
Sinead, gold star for you for your help!
