Lori Dibble Collins
Your nickname on IRC, ICQ, AOL or whatever?
I've never had one--I've always used my kids names.
Name given at birth?
Lori Kay...isn't that priceless. What were my parents thinking?
Nicknames?
Quibble, but I don't think that's been used since college. Buck, but only
my husband calls me that.
Favorite words or expressions being used?
My youngest son says something is "bonus" when it's good. We devised it as
a counterpoint to his using "bogus" for things that are bad.

up.

a "favorite"

Definitely, but it's been a few years.

Yeah, but I try to keep it behind their back. I can be as cruel as the next
person, but I try not to be mean.
Favorite colors?
Green
Have you ever been convicted of a crime?
Not that I can recall. I did get caught shoplifting in 6th grade, but I've
pretty much put the life of crime behind me.
Favorite Web sites?
www.ohio.com/bj/sports/indians--nothing flashy, but there's no such thing
as too much information about the Tribe.
Favorite singers/bands?
Beautiful South, The McGarrigle Sisters, Lloyd Cole
Five of your favorite songs? I've never been able to remember song
titles.
Favorite book? There are so many good books, but I'd have to say "The Mixed
of Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiller
" by E.M. Konisberg
Movie?
My favorites all hark back a few years: Probably "My Life as a Dog" or
"Diner" I also remember thinking "An American Warewolf in London" had
everything--humor, scary, romance, great sex--but I haven't seen it in a
few years. I tend to go for the small talky stuff

Dogs or cats? I prefer dogs, but have two cats. Go figure.
Brains or beauty? Definitely brains, but it doesn't hurt to be
attractive, too.

Other than King of the Hill, I hate cartoons. But Nick definitely beats
Disney.

I can't think of any, which is probably a pretty good sign.
Craziest idea or silliest thing?
Turning the Washington Monument into a giant dehumidifier in order to
alleviate the current draught conditions.
Do you get along with your parents?
Yeah, but I don't feel like we don't have all that much to say to each
other.
What do you look for in the opposite sex?
Same things I look for in the same sex: Integrity, Honesty, Sense of Humor,
Intelligence. A tight ass doesn't hurt.

I don't really believe in heroes. In terms of role models, I'd like to be
as considerate, generous, and reasonable with my kids as my parents were
with me.
