The House of Kaos has the honor to introduce you to this unique medal:
** The Golden Dagger Award for Distinguished Klingon Site **

This award is to be conceded to the best sites of Klingon content in the Web. There will be
two types of prizes. In the first one, the award will be conceded to any site found and visited
in the cyberspace and considered worth winning. So, winners can be surprised to receive the award.
The second kind is where a site owner pleads for an award. And you can be one of the honored ones!
No forms required. You just have to apply to it by sending me an e-mail to me. Invite me to visit your site,
tell me what your site is all about and say why you think you deserve this award. You can do this
just clicking at the image bellow and submitting your Klingon site to my appreciation right now.

But don't think it is as simple as that. In time, I will check your site and evaluate it's performance. There
will be ten items to be evaluated according to this House's criteria. They are strongly design based, as like
graphic design ability, visual creativity, originality of content and character driven personality. Each item
ranges from 0 to 10 points. To receive The Golden Dagger Award a site will have to perform 80 or more
points out of 100. But if its evaluation grades up to 79 points it will receive the Honor Medal instead,
as a recognition of the effort to achieve excellence. As you can see, in order to be worthy of
receiving The Golden Dagger Award your site must be really... impressive.

The First Phase of this award begins now and will go on for a full year.
After this phase, depending of the results, there will possibly be a Phase 2,
in which all kinds of sites will be awarded, but this is not a subject for these days.

The winners of The Golden Dagger Award will receive the award at below left and will receive a special link in
The Hall of Honor, a page of links reserved to the best designed Klingon pages. For those sites which
the effort in making is recognized by this House, there will be delivered the Honor Mention, a
special medal, shown at below right, and a link in the Knife Sharp Links to Other Battlefields page.


* Rules & Regulations *

The Golden Dagger Award is conceded by Captain Rawk Lizarb Kao, owner of this
pages and is reserved only to the most distinguished Klingon sites of the Empire.

The most honored methods of analysis are used. The award can be conceded to any Klingon
site capable to reach the minimum of 80 points in accordance with the criteria below mentioned.

The ten items to be evaluated (each in a 0-10 scale) in a site are:
Site Originality, Easiness of Navigation, Loading Speed, Original Text Content, Klingon Interest Content, Site Content Organization,
Character Driven Emphasis, Visual Programming Effectiveness, Ability in Graphics Use, and Overall Design Content.

The House of Kaos reserves itself the right to concede the award only
to the sites in best accordance with the above mentioned items to be evaluated.

The awarded sites will be given a special link and will be listed in The Hall of Honor
page (to be released as soon as there is enough awarded sites to compose a page).

To the pleader sites that were able to reach from 50 to 79 points in the evaluation The House of Kaos will
offer an Honor Mention Medal and a link in the Knife Sharp Links to Other Battlefields page.

Displaying a copy of the Golden Dagger Award without the proper evaluation of
this House is a capital crime whose penalty is no other than Death by Dishonor.
